ugh this feels like its taking forever and ive died a couple times on the first 40 floors. And have gotten nothing notable in those 40 floors and I got 4 blade mothers and nothing.... ugh

True, but I believe the mothers have boosted drops for the souls, which is also nice.
So far, all the souls I found were from mothers, 4 in total.

This place has really created a love-hate relationship for me and the NPCs I hate that I cant make my own custom tactic to get em to do what I want cause they're so worthless on damage and dont heal or anything when they're supposed to but its funny as hell watching sarisa rez a teamate and not heal him only to watch it die again.
Sometimes ill just get so mad at them ill run up to an explosive box and blow it up just to watch em die.

I've never found a soul from a mother, and I've run through the tower sooooooooooooooomanytimes. Seriously, I've done like 8 full runs (1 N, 5 H, 2 SH) and like dozens and dozens of partial runs (usually just to floor 20), and I've only ever seen souls come from normal enemies.

That said, I am probably just very unlucky. Out of all of those tower runs, I only ever found 3 Arkharz, 2 Femini and 0 Radam. (I had to trade for my Radam Soul after just getting flat-out sick of the tower.)

I've also never found even one truly great rare item from the towers. I have, however, fed quite a few nice no-element Alice Oliviae, Foie Hazes, Riverman Missouris and the like to my mags, along with a couple 2-slot Rika's Suits. :(

I usually don't look forward to anything special when fighting the mothers (got all green drops from 3 mothers once). The exception is Heaven's mother, since she has some very rare item drops (101th floor).

Haha my friend and I were doing it on normal (separately of course), and when he defeated the Heaven's Mother at the end, he got like 10 rares... When I did it, I didn't get a single rare in the entire tower 0.o...

It's not about the drops, it's about the leveling >.> though rares may motivate you, where Eternal Tower shines is helping you lvl up quite nicely..as I recall my first run in Hard mode with my lvl 30 or so HuCast gave me a close lvl to around 60 by the end of it...so yea...it was worth it..xD and I got a few rares too ..

Huh, seems like the only rare items I got on the ET Super Hard are Starlight and Clair Doubles both from Heaven's Mother too!

And by the way, the Clair Doubles....has no Photon Art! LOL! So make that the Starlight alone!

Agreed. I only go into the tower for rares from mothers. Usually on a night where Im not so tired... I can manage 30 floors... lately its been so cold, I can only manage 10 floors before I sleep lol.

Well that felt like a horrible waste of time, the only thing Heavens Mother dropped of note to tease me with was a 1 slot Mobius Plate, definately not doing this again for awhile, not worth it, oh well 20 trigrinders and 10 more inventory slots are good I guess

Things of interest to me that dropped from Heaven's Mother were a Grand Chariot, a Crimson Vis that had more hit than my previous one, a Flame Hit Kleingold with a level 4 element (as opposed to my level 2) and more hit, and a 3 slot Rika's Suit (WHY ONLY 3?!).
Other than that the only other things I found appealing during that run was a Gigas Romulus.
Floors 60+ are hell, how do you people manage such a thing? I've had Arkzeins OHKO me with their missiles at level 95.

I just sent in my NPC's to take the hits for me (attack all out or w/e its called mode) while moving towards the other one, no missles if somethings in melee range of both.

Super hard tower... only did 10 floors, got a level up but nothing of note (nothing 7 star or sells for 10 meseta) seemed easy, but then it would as its the first 10 floors

Then you're left with 2 of the buggers facing you.

Grand Chariot and Crimson Vis are one of the more common mother drops imo...Yeah, it was, but I was pleased by the Grand Chariot because it had the PA I wanted, with some amount of hit, is the strongest spear my RAcast can use, and I've been using Eclamasach for too long anyway.
I found 3 Frunakeds on the way up too, no Clair Doubles. :/

I don't think I'll ever touch the SH tower again above the first 20 floors. It's just not worth the effort.

I just completed my first SH run of the tower, think I got some pretty beefy stuff. Notable mentions include Zero Saber, H44 Missouri, Yellow Sun, Crimson Vis, Nemisis, Loneos and Rika's Suit. Too bad all of them have crappy elements and percents (except for Nemisis, which has lvl 4 Heat and 29% Machine... but the bazooka is the worst of all gun types in my opinion). I think all of these apart from H44 were dropped by the mothers.

The odd thing is that I spent ages trying to get most of those weapons by playing through normal levels and failed. Rioh Snowfield must have been completed about 30 times, but no H44 Missouri or Yellow Sun; Gurhacia Valley must have been played through 40 times, but no Crimson Vis. This leads me to believe that the tower is superior for rare item hunters, although perhaps I was just abnormally lucky on my first try.

As far as completing the tower goes, it's mainly Arkzein and the occasional Helion that trip me up (the gun resistance is particularly irksome, as I'm playing as a RAcaseal). Everything else falls under the might of the Flame hit PA. ;)

man Arkzeins were kinda steadily tough the whole game, Helions were like lawl w/e this thing is easy, and then you hit Super Hard and Helions maul your face and your NPCs -_-

And I hate both because they go on "fits" where they just spam a skill over and over, Arkzein will chain charge, or chain poop mines, Helion WONT STOP JUMPING sometimes and it frustrates me to no end

I've yet to do super hard tower (just finished Hard), but in my normal and hard tower runs, I always got at least 1 red box off the mothers. Usually a material.

Both my normal and hard runs also got me a soul in each. Can't wait for super hard tower, though I know it's gonna be a painful experience... too bad can't do it WiFi.

Guess my first try was just unusually lucky... I've repeated the SH tower twice since then and I've got hardly anything decent. X)

At least I've got practice from those runs and can now complete the tower pretty quickly. Arkzein will forever remain a thorn in my side due to some cheap game mechanics (such as charging at me when I'm up against a wall and killing me before it's possible to recover), but everything else is pretty easy for a level 90+ character.

Will not stop until I get a decent handgun with Flame Hit... honestly, I'm still using a damn Kleingold here...

Yeah man it's a real pain. I actually did find a Rouge Pulse with Flame Hit, but... no element, meaning that my Celeb Kleingold still does more damage to it. I've found H10 and H44 too but alas, no Flame Hit to speak of. :(

Number of Usanny killed: 3532 and rising.

Pro tip: I think the first section of Rioh Snowfields contains way more Usanny than the second, so unless you care about Hildegeo's rare item drops just keep on reseting the field once you reach the second half.

I frequently finish battles and look around to see that all the npcs have died yet again and I think to myself about how much they deserve it. Especially that Sarisa. There's only one thing I want her to do (heal) and yet she wastes all her time on some lame attacks no matter what mode she's in.

if shes not healing change the tactics to safety first that should help

ahhh, so much for seven star mag food.

i usually find my best stuff in the first few floors. finally unlocked sh mode and at 85, my fomarl is a little underleveled. the npc's are kinda getting in the way. the fluid drain is a pain. its a chore to stretch the fluids for 10 floors. the mothers dont like my burn/poison combo, it seems kai has a use after all. he burns, i poison, then i sit back and slicer away.

Eh, the only time I did SH tower was semi-non stop, I would shut the lid and poke around the forums for a bit, but never went to play something or whatever.
In fact I made this thread on that run :P glad to see it's still running with people sharing their woes of the ridculousness!
