There is (almost) no decency left on Vega.

I was playing a new character today, a Force, and there were no open games in Normal that weren't full, so I went over to the forst place that came to mind. I joined a game that had another low level. Two others joined, and we were all about to get into the teleporter to the dragon, when someone had to tp out to restock. Everyone else had been in the teleporter not one min, when the little pinprick who made the game said "Too long a wait, I gonna go now."
So we enter the boss battle, and I go "WTF, what'd you do that for?" He goes "Cuz I wanted to!" So, I said, "Dumbarse, you're supposed to WAIT for the other guy!" And in the time I take to type it, the dragon lands on me and I die, but I don't really care about it becuase not everyone was there.
After I died, the guy goes "haha ur ded" and refused to revive me.

However, the other guy I was with dropped some monofluids for me after the fight. There is SOME decency left on Vega, but it's like a tiny candle flickering in a huge dark chamber.

Don't let the idiots get you down, keep joining random games and you'll eventually find some respectable folks, even on Vega! Never respond to someone with a pointless insult, it helps nothing. Overall, I'd say I'm fairly pleased with the people I've met. It's extremely easy to tune out the bad ones, and you'll get used to those obscene symbol chats and foul-mouthed kiddies.

If all else fails and the frustration level is too high, play offline for a while to cool off.

Why are people so surprised that Vega has turned out like this? It's exactly like what's happened to DC PSO's Oberon ship, which was, like Vega, the first ship on the list. The first ship always turns out bad. Like Oberon, Vega has turned into a ghetto ship, filled mostly with dupers and rude people. I like Vega 10 myself...people hang there, but the concentration of stupidity seems much less at times. I've found many, many more good teams on Vega 10 for HS and such than any other Vega block.

I usually play on either Vega or Antares, sometimes Antares isn't populated enough, thats when you would go to Vega. It is not nearly as bad as Oberon or Miranda.

Yes I will admit Cordelia block 4 was the hang out for all old school PSO players. After my short stint of not playing PSO and when I came back I was shocked and appalled that my dear Cordelia was taken away from me.

And granted the first Ship is a bit bad, however I remember most of the games were to full and the lobbies were filled with new people arguing with the 1337 haxx00r crowd. As the new guys fought with pointless insults and the 1337 attacked with raunchy icons. It was like cave men throwing sticks and stones at the people.

However I feel that most of the players truly knew that besides Oberon the WORST block on the Dreamcast was without a doubt Puck #7. Does anyone remember the Fight Club Guild? I heard that's where they more or less set up there stupid meeting, I remember joining that block and saw a whole bunch of Tyler Durden's everywhere, it was very insane.

Hopefull good times can still be attained on this new PSO... once I attain onlineness... I hear there are like chairs or something...

I dont see why everyone has a problem with Vega just because you went there and met someone annoying doesnt mean everyone on Vega is a ****head. I've seen my share of ***holes on antares and dont tell me to play on Deneb or Altair because I would play offline if I wanted to play alone.

Altair is by far my favorite ship. I've never met any player on Altair who I really didn't care for, and I hope it will stay that way.

I usually play with two close friends in locked games, or the more obscure blocks. This is the easiest way to avoid the beyond-numerous amount of morons who infest Vega and Antares 8.

If you don't have friends, or are easily frustrated with searching out decent people in Altair and Deneb, I'd say Antares 8. Vega is the last resort. Antares 8 does have its fair share of decent individuals, but an equal amount of the people who fill the block are so far from that. If anyone tells you differently, they're defensive PSOW elitists who can't tell their left foot from their right.
