:/ sence the new update on the 19th, has anyone using Nvidia noticed anything acting up?

i have 1GB ram, Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE, Windows 7.

Ever sence the update on the 19th well, NOTHING works at all. Fiesta, Mabinogi, hell even Tibia.
It happened before i installed Windows 7, and now recently i've tried 4 reinstalations to no avail.

:/ i guess i wont be playing Mabinogi for a while.

As for Ati users, how's things working for you?

Anything unusual, new updates etc.

Side question- Are there any other brands out there that Actually live up to their word about their products being good and high end? Besides Ati, and Nvidia is just bleh :/

-edit: i should have put a poll up saying
Which would you prefer most?
ATI
Nvidia
Other

Roll back driver?

I have NVidia with no problems. GTX 260M.

I've tried it, however when running a game it just says: graphics card isnt upto date.

and when i try through Device manager it says: your driver is upto date /wtfMS

Perhaps it could be a DirectX thing, what i dont get is, i've managed many times (once for win7) to get everything working but after a single reboot... Nothing, just everythings dead. Normal things like Youtubes, full screening videos, msn, even runescape works.

Just anything of it's own window.

There's no button to roll back the driver?

Windows keeps the old version's files by default...

...well, NOTHING works at all. Fiesta, Mabinogi, hell even Tibia.

I think Nvidia saw your mistakes, and they're trying to help you.

Try going into the files, and mark them as Read-only.
Some people had to do this with PSU when they switched to Windows 7.

I get some crashes using the latest nVidia drivers on my 8800 GTX on some Source engine games, I don't know if it is universal because I don't play much else at the moment.

Got a GeForce 8600 GTS and never had any bigger problems... well, unless I wanted to watch newest games with highest graphical details

My 9600 GT has been crusin' along no problems. Though I haven't updated the drivers in over a year.

The driver didnt even update, and the game does the same thing as before i tried to update.

Even though there is an update for the driver, windows cant/wont find it.

Close all those tabs first then run the game?

Also, you might want to scan your computer for viruses. While I'm bit far-fetched here, the nastier ones can screw up with pretty much everything on your computer.

Given the error message, I think you might want to completely reinstall the drivers:

1-Download drivers, but do not run installer
2-Uninstall drivers
3-Reboot, install new drivers

It sounds like an installer didn't function right, and theres some older files mucking things up.

OK, i found out the problem.

it has something to do with Direct X9.

on Tibia there are 3 options, DirectX5, DirectX9, OpenGL.

DX5, and OpenGL show the screen after a minimize, and being restored.

However the DirectX9 just displays a blank screen. i had to click all around the screen till i click either openGL/DX5 to fix the clear screen.
