please don't get upset with me or anything. just an innocent question

sooo. yeah.. i posted an add for a site that i frequent in this forum and it got closed.

but is this not the "spam" forum. is this not where all the crud that we don't want on the rest of the forums goes? seems like a logical place to post such stuff to me!

just curious

Spam, and advertising are different.
Also, inb4lock.

Get outta FKL, while you still can.

Also again, it's against forum rules to talk about closed threads. (your own, or not)

General rules are still applicable. For example, inflammatory language or pornography would not be allowed no matter the board. Not to say what you did was as bad, but that's to give a bit of an idea to a response on your question.

If you want to advertise your site then you should place a link in your sig. This was also suggested by the mod who locked your topic.

Advertising for appropriate sites is fine in sigs and on your own user message board, topics are not allowed. For any further, please ask a moderator.

Things you don't have to worry about, possible exceptions:

You could probably talk about the locked topics that were locked for the PSOW history stuff, and subsequent maze game (find the exit link to the next one) of which one guy got a custom avatar, instead of a Trashcan by his profile avatar which was also touted as a prize.

You could also probably satire locked topics that weren't really topics in the first place by making your own topic with a similar title. Example:

WAAAAAAGH - I'M BEATING THIS GAME

Be advised to not go crazy trying to beat a game. Or sometimes, even the first stage. Example: Actraiser 2, what's up with anything and everything damaging you, then if you manage to slog your way to the first stage boss, he has a specific pattern of which if you're off on placement by a few pixels as he starts a move, you're stuck in an unavoidable next move for guaranteed damage.

WAAAAAAAGH - I'm probably never beating that game.
