Well I noticed that the damage of the weapons does not give a stable damage.
Anyone have an idea how it works?
I thought it was damage was something like attack-power/defense x element% but guess I was wrong.

Yes everyone weaponhas a variance. Not all variances are known but a few key weapons are known, there is a formula out there somewhere. Anyways the Pakudac has a variance of like 20, twin ruby bullets have a variance of like 20 as well, and then there are some weapons that have higher variances, those two weapons were just examples of weapons with very low variance. The ank bico has very very high variance so much so some people think the weapon is kinda laughable.

In a later update in Japan there is a custimization that you can learn called weapon mastery which allows you to lower the variance on all weapons you use by 50%.

Thats about all I know, so you might find someone elso a little more helpful with the formula and what not.

stinkyfish97 is correct. If you want to test it out, grab a pair of Twin Rubys and try them out. If I remember correctly they have little to no damage variance.

Yeah. Variance is different for each weapon. Twin Ruby Bullet has a variance of 5 ATP, which equates to less than 1 damage, which is why you always see it doing the same amount of damage. On the other hand, there are weapons like Ank Bico, where the variance is like 1000 ATP or something, so you will notice a very wide range in damage.

The variance of most weapons isn't known, but someone of them have it listed on their articles on PSUPedia. Also, here's the equation (http://psupedia.info/Formulae#Variance).

almost every game with RPG elements has variance. are you just noticing this now?

http://forum.psupedia.info/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=614&hilit=variance

variance = (max - min) x 5

note: no buffs, no PA (than means no elemental usage on guns and no striking weapon skills, also no criticals or zero's when using this formula to calculate variance.

Interesting post on PSUpedia worth a quick read.

I know, I just never asked it to anyone + all games never explain how they actually work :s

Anyway everything makes sense now, thank you all for your help :)
