Does it matter if you kill all creatures?

Sorry im new to psu and i have a few questions...Looking for rare spawns im using the charts on psupedia. Does it matter if you kill all monsters in the maps looking for the rare spawns? Also should i be bringing my npc or bot to increase the rare spawn rate? Thanks for any advise on this. Igg crowns are so hard to find :(

You can skip spawns. So long as you get the right starting enemy, you can move on to the next block. And there is nothing that raises the chance of getting a rare spawn. However, it is preferable to bring NPC's to help kill faster. There's no real downside to having them.
