best cmode character?

You can easily get S-ranks using any character or class, all that matters is who you play with.

HUcaseal is the best hunter to use. FOnewearl is the best Force to use. MST and TP does make a difference after playing both a FOnewearl and a FOmar in Cmode.

I used a FOmar, HUcaseal, HUmar, and FOnewearl for Cmode(all Srank). The HUcaseal and Fonewearl were alot easier to use and more effective. I know people say HUmar is pretty good in Cmode, but he doesn't even come close to a HUcaseal.

If you go for a ranger you want the ability to use traps, and the ability to see traps. Being able to shoot your own traps gives you a huge advantage in Cmode. Having low atp sucks in the earlier cmode stages but isn't as big of a factor later on. The RAmar can use high ATA guns quickly, but the RAcast and RAcaseals ability to use traps, see traps, and detonate their own traps gives them a greater advantage over the other rangers. While they do start with trap visions, having to tell your team "wait there are traps ahead" as apposed to just shooting them saves on time.

Although to be quite honest you can beat cmode regardless of who you choose so long as the team is balanced and skilled, but not as well or easily, especially in C6.

HUcaseal is the overall best Challenge character. By far the best Hunter in every Challenge except for C9, where HUcast can equip the Pallasch instantly.

FOnewearl is the best Force early, but in the latter half of Challenge where Forces shouldn't be casting attack techniques, FOmarl becomes better. Resta/Shifta/Deband bonus and the ability to survive are very crucial later on. She can survive Falz without one HP Material and support the team without them having to gather.

As for Rangers, the general rule is not to use them, but if you want one pick RAcaseal. She has enough ATA to use a Railgun in C9 almost instantly, which ends up making her overall more useful than a Hunter in that Challenge since Railguns are so overpowered.

Which is not to say it can't be won with them, of course, but human Rangers start off weak, no one likes a Force with no Resta OR S/D boosts and HUnewearl's ATP is too low to equip any good Hunter weapons without serious help.
