Hello, pipu~! I'm Pipu Vol, of the invincible Vol siblings! My brothers were teasing me, bragging about how famous they would be all around Gurhal now thanks to their silly casino!
I can be famous, too, though! But when I told them, they only laughed - Especially the stupid Hiru, puuuu~!

RULES!

The game is played in rounds. Each round lasts two days.

At the start of each round, a silhouette of Pipu will be displayed. Players try to guess the three articles of clothing Pipu is wearing and their color!

Earn 1 point for correctly guessing EACH of the three clothing parts, and an additional 3 points for correctly guessing each part's color(s) - a maximum of 12 points for correctly guessing all three parts and their colors. A guess is done by simple posting it in this thread.

If you post a picture of your character wearing the clothes as your guess, points are doubled! 2 points for each part and 6 for correct colors!

At the end of the round, the player(s) with the highest score(s) will receive one random prize from the prize pool! The more guesses, the more prizes will be awarded and the more people will win each round. The prize per player per round except for the optional special spin bonus is 1.

0-9 guesses - No prize
10-19 guesses - 1 prize
20-29 guesses - 2 prizes
(etc)

Only one guess per player! You may change your guess but only within 10 minutes of your original guess.


SPECIAL SPIN BONUS!

The FIRST player to guess all the clothes AND colors correctly gets a special bonus spin, meaning they get a prize automatically! It does not matter if you post a picture of your character, just be the first to be 100% right! You can still win a second prize if you have the most points at the end of the round!


PRIZES!

There are a total of 15 prizes in the prize pool! Earn points to spin the Piroulette and win a random prize! Each prize slot corresponds to a number on the wheel.

Oops, a double post?
That's right! Before this little event starts for real I want to give you some time (one day to be precise) to ask questions. I was quite surprised myself how complicated such a simple idea became, so do not feel shy and go on ahead!
I promise I will not bite! (:

This event was at first meant to be just another one to add to the Phasion Group's list of accoplishments, but the news of the closure of the local PC/PS2 server also made this the last one we will be holding - At least in the era of PSU.
That is why I tried to go all out on this and as the result you will be seeing a lot of small, but not at last very neat reallife prizes. That especially was made possible by the always generous PSOW and Ryna (who also seems to get sentimental on these final days of PSU) and my beloved friends of the Phasion Group. Do you recognize Mimo's beautiful art? Or Ryudo's all well done graphics? Just a few of the talents we combine in our group.

Granted my thinking may be WAY off but here is my 2 cents

As others have stated before, the clothes appear to be

Body: Phanis Tunic
Pants: Bombom Shorts
Feet: Vatavara Boots

As for my color choices? I'm going off the shadow provided to us. The color of this shadow compared to the example at the beginning of this thread are different colors and I believe that is intentional. A clue to deciphering the colors of the clothing. In the example we were given you can see the a very similar shade of pink in the clothing.

For the first one we got in the contest is a yellow-green shadow. So I believe that yellow, green, or both play into the actual colors somehow. Granted my guess may not match the best, heh.

My thoughts were the yellow chest which has green accents on it. And the white gloves play into matching the boots.
Go with the dark green pants since it is similar to the green on the chest. The pink accents play into matching with the boots
Finally going with the white/green boots. Once again a similar shade of green, the white ties into the gloves, and the pink very badly ties in with the pants.

Yes, I knew that. I just told people to not just guess one color from 10 color. It can be something like red-top, green-bottom too.

So it is easy to get score, but it will be hard to get perfect score.

This is utterly important!

The event layout went through a huge change. it was not ideal before, but the new changes make it easier to participate also in later rounds while still having full winning potential and the event as a whole got simpler and hopefully more fun like this. Please check the very first post for all the new rules and also the fully revealed prize list!

Round 1 will be extended by 2 days, people that already guessed are of course still aknoweledged.

It is all luck, I don't think Mysterious would take all too random/hard colors like orange/blue top, purple/red bottoms and green/grey shoes.
The the colors will somehow fit together, and if you can figure out what Pipu is wearing and check in PSU or on pso-world you can see which colors of the clothes fit, so you just choose one color set to go with.
Maybe you chose the right colors, maybe not.

There will be too many people who get the same full score if you can get the color right that easily. the point is to have first part as work to find the clothes and color match. the second part is to be lucky and choose the correct color as many part as possible. the more correct the more score, and the highest score from each round get prize!

That's right, guessing all colors if they were chosen randomly would be quite tough.
But remember that all clothes are meant to be similiar in colors to create a whole, nice one.
This reduces the odds drastically, especially since different clothes only share few colors that fit together. That is something mathmatics will not be able to calculate for you, since this varies between the many, many clothes this game offers.
Unless you are colorblind or lack any sense of fashion. Then your chance is probably going towards *uses a calculator* 0! ;)

There is a way to reduce the two-color combination from 1 in 270 to a range of 1 in 40 - 50. Still puts the guessing accuracy on a single try to 2 - 2.5%.

As far as Fashion Skills go...

I spent a lot of time looking at some of the things in MBFW (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week) http://www.mbfashionweek.com/ and I have to say what I saw this year for men and women was better than the last three years. A lot of new things and new techniques too and young designers showing up all over the place challenging the top elites.[/spoiler-box]

You did raise a point indirectly...that Fashion sense is about the taste. It means those who know the fashion sense/taste of the one who presents each image for players to work on each round will always have a higher probability of guessing correctly, just from knowing the DOs and Donts of the user. Its not intentional discrimination, but the subjective nature of things...Sort of how I love Swords and Tornado Break and consider that to be cool and nice...while the majority choose majarra over TB. Its subjective nature and not rationality.

It's rather easy.... Just go on offline story mode if you cleared the game, the shop G's MODE has clothes with all colors, not like online mode wich only has the v1 colors.

Is just an easier way if you dont want to run around from shop to shop in online mode.
Also if you dont want to go in game at all you have PSO-W's PSU Item Database.
And im sure that Pipu Vol's clothe's shape's are pretty obvious now, So now its just a matter of matching the colors of the 3 pieces wich as i said are pretty much obvious.
Just try and match the colors that you think match better.
Its not to hard.
