View Full Version : Damn, some legits are almost as annoying as dupe users.

I guess any type can be VERY annoying, -> uber legit, legit, 50% legit, dupe user, duper, hax0r, whatever. Examples of dumb run-ins with legits who did stuff I thought was... dumb:

I wait for 2 people to pipe down in the first room of Mines. "Ranger X" comes down, stands there, switches through 3-4 different weapons, leaves the red scorpion equipped and starts to shoot it at the wall. I'm so impressed. n_n;

I enter CCA game hosted by a "100% Legit." I go down to CCA and fight, etc. At one point(I'll call him Legit X), Legit X announces that any storm wand found=his. Me thinking "ok, he gets indra. ;l" Later in the sinow room, one of the non-legits shifta goes away, (I being the FO), he asks "shifta?" from across the room. I guess I was official force s/d whore and was expected to run across and Shifta? I say "cant really reach from over here", since there are like 3 sinows in the room, and other enemies. Legit X tells me "thats why you have a control stick."

Why do people think like this? I could see if I was a FOmar/l who had S/D that reached across the fuxing room, but if you want shifta/deband as a non-fo, you better go to the FO, and not expect a little support slave. I know it's almost a force's job to support, but they aren't there to be your "real life mag", helping you out before anything else.

Another thing in that same game, I noticed a few times, as SOON as the Gi Gue fell, Legit X runs through his dead body. (raer plz plz) Why do people have to try and make it a race like that? Here's a trick I see a LOT of legits do, and maybe you'll wana start doing it too!:

1) Get at least one hit on the enemy.
2) After getting that one hit, put your characters face AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to the Garanz/Sinow/Gibbles/<Insert Rare Dropping thing>'s crotch.
3) Do a 1 hit combo every now and then to *pretend* you're contributing. (NO 3 hit combo's, remember, if you 3 hit combo, there will be a delay in the run to the possible rare drop.)
4) As soon as the monster dies, RUN ASAP through it to snatch your rare.
5) Congratulations!

BTW, this isn't a topic against legits. I'm legit myself, but I'm sick of people acting the way I've talked about up there. ^

kbye.

it's sad but true.

The best players are the ones that even if they find something they offer it to the person who could best use it. I only play with a handfull of different people like this and usually don't even bother with open games anymore.

Anytime I find a red box I offer it to my team-mates. If one of them needs that item then it's theirs.

Personally I think more people should play this way.

I'm Legit too, but people can be stupid sometime (some people all the time!!) Try not to get too down, when I enter games I try to establish Loot rules so that people don't get ripped, but i usually play with friends anyway http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Some people are just inconsiderate in real life, and act the same way online... "Don't underestimate the net!" - Mimiru (sp?)

That's why I try to get all my rares offline. It's pretty uhh... RARE, that I find an actual rare item online. Frustrating... but I enjoy scouring my ID's offline for goods anyway.

Yeah, there are a lot of stupid people on PSO, legit or other wise..hard to meet cool people now, I usually just play with my old DC PSO friends

But I'm not gonna let the way other people act stop me from playing online..that's just stupid

It's a shame that "legit" doesn't also means "one with brains," that would certainly cut down the already short list. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I always go for the rares but they're always unexpected, I never know which ID is hosting or what monster dropped the red box...So far, I've collected maybe five different rares online, and two of those I gave away. (This doesn't include the 30 or so Photon Drops I've found online, though.)

I usually try to play in games with a HU and a FO. The FO gets rare canes or whatever else we can find that they could use, the HU gets swords/sabers/etc, and I get the guns. Other items, like photon drops and support items, are divided up by who needs them the most.

It works pretty well; occasionally we'll get a greedy player who runs in and grabs everything, but then they usually get stuck with something like a pile of Varistas.

If I want a specific rare, I'll make locked online games so I'm sure I'll get them. ^^;

I always get people's guild cards first before the game starts, so when they hog all the weapons, I spam their mail and such. Then, they will eventually either complain to other people or give you the weapon. It works, but is very annoying.

heh i feel your pain though being a HUnewearl that automatically makes me the S/D person i mean i didn't know what this HUmar was talking about
"S/D!!!" being new online i thought "hmmmm Scape doll yep i have one"
bah and just think the Second a real FO enters the room i'm pushed back and not needed anymore what with that?! i'm old new because a FO walks in and i'm all of a sudden not good enough for everyone
"S/D"
"sure *cast them"
"no the FOs S/D"
>.> screw that....
bah i'm not "hating" on FOs i love you guys but.. please try your best not to steal the spotlight from other Newmans/marls i mean were just as good as you guys overal, one more thing, in battle mode let up on the megids hehehe it's really hard to dogde and if you get killed even when you have this monster attack it makes you look really silly ^n_n^

I really don't care about those type of players attitude. Sure I've ran into to them. Take everything that drops on the ground. There is a reason why my HP was 686 at level 100 in DC PSO. >_> EVeryone would take every darn mat they see.

About the shifta deband thing. . .Forces sometimes are taken for granted by these same 'selfish legit' players. And if shifta deband wears off, just use your own, that's whats it's in your technique inventory is it not? It sucks when some players carry on like that though.

HEY RESTA! (WTH?) RESTA ME! Ok I'm like WAY down here. . . SO? YOU HAVE RESTA LV.15 RIGHT? Uhmm.....yes...and so..? I'm not falz, I can't cast a spell on you from anywhere in the room at any length.

And this goes back the 'Don't you have a resta spell of your own?" thing. Some figure just because you have a higher level spell that you are the only one that is to use support spells in the game. Sorry it doesn't work that way. You aren't able to play 'Game Mag' all the time, this is why there is thing called team work. And splitting the loot eveningly among the players.

I usually play with one other freind of mine online. And we usually make those password games because we don't want just any idiot comming in there messing up the flow. We invite people on our card list to join with us. We only give our cards to people who we think are cool. (not to be snobby or anything) He has his own list, I have my own list and we meet new freinds from who ever joins the game that could be a freind to either one of us. We both have specfic types of weopons that we specialize in. He specialzes in Katanas and double sabers and swords, and i specialize in Twin Swords, double sabers and saber types. When ever we find a rare that we know that one specializes in or other wise, we ask who needs/wants it, we even go offline to find each other some rares with our own id.

I hate those rare item molesters. You know, the ones who take every rare they see and didn't even put the effort in to kill the monster. Its a rare item kids. It just means that its uncommon to find, not that its a once in a life time drop.

The thing with the forces, I have mixed emotions about them. They are very good at support frankly the s&d group hugs are good but i don't have to get them if i don't need it. I hate forces who cast it with out telling you when you do need it. And when you tell them to cast it again for you. they throw a fit. Forces are also cheap skates in battle. Yes i under stand that it's your specialty to cast magic, but dont do it in rule 2 when everybodys lvel and skill supposed to be evened out. i don't know Mabe i'm just a sor loser. ^_^

(Cloak's entire post)

May I remind you that legits are not the only ones that act like assholes, treat Forces like slaves, and hog the rare items. The way you wrote your post, it seemed as if you were implying as much. I hope that this was just a wording error, and not ignorance on your part.

Unfortunately, we are all only human. -_-;;
Different people have different attitudes twoard different things, and it isn't based on whether you dupe or not. (I don't dupe, I'm just saying that's not really what I think it's based on). But people have different responses to different things, I used to do that run on in before anyone gets to it until I realised, what if it wasn't my drop? And I also figured it was really rude, then I started feeling bad and I gave away some of my rares... But I took rares for granted when I first got online. For instance, I never knew about the Caduceus being a cool item, I had 3 of them so I figured they were common. I gave 2 away, 1 to a friend and the other to some person online. Not until now do I know that the Caduceus is a nice trading item. *sigh*

I did. My opinion stands.

Okay, then your opinion will just have to be wrong, and stupid. Here, I'll make it easier for you unless it was too hard to go to page 1 and find a couple sentences.

I guess any type can be VERY annoying, -> uber legit, legit, 50% legit, dupe user, duper, hax0r, whatever. Examples of dumb run-ins with legits who did stuff I thought was... dumb:

Pay attention to the underlined things. Notice I said ANY type, meaning legit, half legit, hacker, whatever. I made it clear as day.

BTW, this isn't a topic against legits. I'm legit myself, but I'm sick of people acting the way I've talked about up there. ^

Oh look, another disclaimer. I say how I'm legit myself, AND how the topics not against legits. What do you know!?

I don't know if you're just A) slow, B) can't read, C) on the defense, D) a mix of all 3. (D) sounds more sensible. Next time, make yourself look smarter by completely reading AND understanding the post you're about to question. Thanks, bye.

Cloak, perhaps we are both having trouble seeing what the other person is trying to say. That's bound to happen on the Internet, where tone of voice, body language, and other important facets of communication aren't present. First of all, let me assure you that I am not...

A) slow

I also don't have this problem:

B) can't read

I am also surely not...

C) on the defense

... since it would be stupid to defend "being legit" when talking to someone who themselves claims to be legit.

Obviously, we can now rule out...

D) a mix of all 3

Now, let me explain why I got my back up a little bit at reading your post. I felt it was completely unnecessary to drag the whole "legit vs. duper" issue into your rant. At most, the word "legit" was only in there to attract attention to your topic. Nowhere do you mention why you used the word "legit" or "duper". Your topic would have been better titled "Some players are just annoying", or something along those lines. Granted, you did present an example of a legit person who undoubtedly is more annoying than many dupe users, but whether he was legit or not had nothing to do with how he acted. Frankly, the guy sounds like an asshole, no matter how he plays.

Sorry for the missunderstanding; hopefully next time we will know to analyze eachother's posts more carefully.

Thanks, bye.

i think my sig says it .... though no offense to all HUmars, just the ones Cloak described, minus the legit factor

and the way some HUmars start "need FO" teams, because in truth they feel they're not the BIG MAN they think they are unless they're doing 600+ every hit with a BKB thanks to a FO's s/d AND j/z

and i really hate being the only RAmar in a HUmar game, which means it's "up to me" to keep up my mediocre lvl 15 s/d ... i ask some HUmars what level j/z they have, and get responses like 5/8 or 6/5 ... come on! you really think ATP is everything??

although i thoroughly enjoy playing with an FO on the team, i have beaten ult falz with a team of lvl 100-120 RAs and HUs, simply because i told them that if they wanted to beat falz, i could s/d while they could j/z .. and it works!

as for the crotch-sniffing ... don't ya hate when someone just sits next to a box, waiting for you to blast it open so they can grab what's inside?

"RUN! IT'S A MONOMATE!!!" lol

I love it when I cast Jellen and the group's HUmar or other Hunewearl drops a Zalure right after. We keep doing this throughout the level, and not once did we have to ask each other to cast that spell.
