You can even postulate how it chewed up other people, like so:

SNES - Illusion of Gaia

Purple kid from your town, Seth Sef, fell off the Inca ruins boat and got eaten by the Sea. He comes back as a Whale doing morse code on the side of the river underpass.

Yeah, I didn't like the remake.

The SNES game is great!

But I've never played the 4-player arcade version. One day...

What about that NES(or SNES) version of the Toads and Double Dragon?

I loved that one, but I don't think many people agreed with it.
All the neighborhood kids said it was a "stupid game".

What about that (SNES) version of the Toads and Double Dragon?

Can't get 10 seconds into that one, lots of flashy seizure mode. Sprites flying through each other.

And this is the actual SNES grey cart!

Man, screw Battletoads.

I used saved states and it still took me like an hour to beat the third level.

Also, I've played Battletoads & Double Dragon, but only on Game Boy. It wasn't bad.

I faintly remember playing a Double Dragon on an arcade... Am I imagining it? If it wasn't that, it was some copy.

Damn stupid skating rink had all these arcade games that were made to make you lose...

Arcade is where it started.
(Friend did a big review about the Double Dragon versions compared to Arcade I believe.)

Mario Bros. & Ninja Gaiden too. & more.

Final Fight 1 in the Arcade has a Rolento elevator boss level. And he is a bastard.

This, and The Simpsons. Same gameplay, but with Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa. An insatiable money thief. Smithers as the penultimate boss, he throws bombs from his trenchcoat - badass henchman or hint at possible insanity? Also featuring Mr. Burns in a multi-stage robot battle. Fantastic.

Current time-eater is Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam Vs. Gundam NEXT Plus on PSP. An enhanced arcade port of Gundam Vs. Gundam NEXT. I don't live near any arcades anymore, so I haven't played the original, but if the gameplay is anything like that (and it clearly is), I would have spent entirely too much money on it. Instead, it is the most expensive PSP game I've ever bought at $60. I'm sure I'd have spent that much money on the arcade machine by now, seeing as I've had it since it came out.

Oh ok. It was 10+ years ago, so I wasn't sure if I was mistaken. My cousin and I could've paid for college if we never discovered that arcade.
