Are not a good method to compensate for lag.

Blinx the failed Xbox mascot Time Cat / Prince of Persia reversery of time, is also a little weird.

Magneto warping all over the place, even better than he was offline!
(Someone joked a Zangief, one of the worst in the game now is too good, warping all over the place!)

Roll backs in Real Time, is the alternative, best they have for right now. But it may be too resource intensive for today's gen games.

A particularly obnoxious example would be that crystal chronicles: subtitles of time for the DS, playing online with any sort of lag ends up amounting to watching everyone who isn't the host fall off cliffs and attack passed enemies until they give up, since there's a delay between when you press the button and it decides to act on it while playing online.

ya i find input delay really annoying especially in fighting games. like blazblue instant blocking is a pain to do online but after awhile i was able to IB in some matches with decent connection.
