Hi everyone,
Many of you may remember back when a game called PSO:BB shut down its US servers two years ago. As a goodbye to the game, and to celebrate the memories we had, I created a tribute video, which you can watch here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IbngWhRQo8
Now, I'd like to do the same for the PC/Ps2 servers of PSU. To create it, I'm going to need pictures from you guys.
PSU: PC/PS2 Tribute Video
Submission Guidelines
* Select 2 (two) pictures that are your favorites from your time on PSU. The first should be the picture you would most like to make it into the video, and the second is a backup in case I'm not able to include the first for any reason.
* I'll do my best to use at least one screenshot from everyone who submits one. It's first-come first-served in terms of room for pictures, so the sooner you can submit yours, the better your chances of being included.
* Your picture can be of any moment in your time on the PC/PS2 servers. It can represent the excitement of new missions and big events when the game first started, the friendship and the companions you remember or who stuck with you to the end, or even the ending of our journeys at the Falz Memoria. I leave it up to you to decide what it was that made PSU truly memorable for you. Let your pictures describe that, even if such a picture only speaks to you alone.
How to submit a picture:
1. Host or upload your picture somewhere on the net. (http://www.photobucket.com will let you do so fairly easily.)
2. Post a direct link to that image here in the thread.
3. Done!
Q&A:
Q: What music is being used for the video?
A: I'll be revealing the music choice(s) soon. Like the PSO:BB video, this video will feature music from the game itself - PSU, in this case.
Q: What if one of my pictures is a little... suggestive?
A: If possible, please try to avoid pictures like this. The video will be public, and I'd like to post it on official SEGA sources as well. If it's a picture you wouldn't feel comfortable showing your grandmother, please avoid submitting it here.
Q: Why just one or two pictures?
A: I realize it may be hard to find just one or two perfect shots that summarize your best moments on PC/PS2, but I hope it's also understandable. If I were to take many more than a couple pictures per person, the video length would get very long - very quickly.
Q: Why are you creating this video?
A: This video is a tribute to everyone who played PC/PS2, from the day of launch all the way up until its final hours. I'm creating it on my own time - not as someone who works at SEGA, but as a fan.
And I think that's that. Let me know if you have any other questions - The deadline to submit your pictures is next Wednesday, April 14th.
I have mirror threads up, both here and on the official boards, and will be pulling pictures from each thread, so you don't need to sign up one board or the other. All I ask is that you only post pictures on one of the two forums, as it will save me some time. :)
Thanks everyone!
