JP PC/PS2 - Content update for April 22

Maximum Attack X
* MAX is a crossover event between PSU and PSP2. The event will run from April 22 through May 20.
* Event participants will work toward four weapon rewards from the event. The final attribute rates of these weapons will depend upon how well we do in both the PSU version of the event as well as the PSP2 version.
* Participants will be collecting data chips in PSU, while the goal in PSP2 will be the number of enemies defeated.
* A simulator known as "Arc" was discovered in a RELICS site. Unravel the mysteries of the device with the cooperation of Little Wing!

Event lobbies
* MAX event lobbies will be up across Clyez City for the duration of the event, April 22 through May 20.

Event missions
* GUARDIANS' War Games (event prologue mission)
- I'm taking control of the strategy this time. Here I'll teach you about the Arc. Oh, and you can also confirm the total number of data chips you've collected with me. -Bruce Boyde
* Twisting Labyrinth C-S3 (event mission)
- The object of this mission is to collect the data chips scattered about. This program makes the most of Arc's special characteristics. Think you can do it!? -Bruce Boyde
* Red and Green Crossover C-S3 (event mission)
- This program is intended for beginners, though it's open to you experts for your own enjoyment... you might even learn a thing or two from it! Put your skills and self-confidence to the test! -Bruce Boyde
* Event Mission Standby (event recruitment mission)
- This room is used as a rendezvous point for event missions.

Mission updates
* New exchange items will be added to RSD: Special Exchange.

New items
* Many new items will be added to the game, including some weapons from the item design contest, PSP2 and PS0.
* Some of the new weapons include...
- Wing Saber (saber)
- Metford (rifle)
- Spintail Diska (sword)
- Bil De Vear Cane (rod)
* Casino rotation.

Too bad it seems they'll only be in the PSP2 version. (Available through "MAX Exchange" where you trade in badges for items.) No mention yet if they'll be added to the AOTI version of the event, but I certainly wouldn't object if they were!

So, if you participate in all four weeks of the event, after it's ended, you will be eligible to receive one of each weapon as a reward. Something else I didn't mention before is that data chip collection on the PC side will unlock panels, per normal event protocol. Also, the Arc simulation "Twisting Labyrinth" will undergo changes... D: This might end up being something like new areas unlocked like in Absolute Zero.

Soon I hope to have an actual article written up for the event at PSUPedia. I'll try to get to it this weekend.

The event site doesn't say so far, but we haven't had an event yet that didn't have an EXP boost of some kind, so I'm sure there will be one with this event.

Right. Also, (I may have already said this, I can't remember), the attribute rate of these weapons will be based on the total enemy kill count reached in the PSP version of the event plus the data chip collection in the PC version. And looking at that site, it seems the reward weapons may be more of the item design contest winners. I see silhouettes for Gran Orca (sword), Ikotenyoku (twin saber), Kotetsu (saber) and Long Flame (spear).
