Infogrames announced today, that the PAL version of Phantasy Star Online will be pushed back one week, to the mars 14. And that's not all... All of the games listed here are also delayed to the 14th mars:

Zapper
Phantasy Star Online
Sonic Mega Collection
Super Monkey Ball 2

Game Boy Advance
Atari Anniversary Advance
Virtua Tennis
Zapper
Shining Soul
Phantasy Star Collection

Yeah tell me about it....I am glad I imported a copy from the USA I love that game tho I don't think it is as good as S2.

Back on topic if the people who are not getting the game on the 7th (poor souls I feel for you >.<) then they could just order it from a website that has the stock in seen as it will be in the PAL format anyway even if it was not they could just use the FreeLoader to play it.

I asked three shops about PSO today. The folks at GAME said they didn't have it yet (though they should have had it by then), but to check back on Friday. The idiot at Gamestation stared at me with a confused, glazed-over look in his eyes when asked, and gave some bull about the 28th. Most promising was the local independent, which said he should be getting them in tomorrow, and I could have it then as well. But, that guy has been known to be slightly optimistic with when he's getting stuff in.

We're all sure it's coming out in the UK on Friday, right?

Well I went into Game Station over here in the UK just an hour ago (in Manchester arndale center) and they had the Modem and BBA on the shelf and both were priced at £ 29.99 GBP....and my next big Q was (as if you all did not know what it was lol) do you have PSO in stock I spoke to the manager as well and he said yes we do and it will be on sale from 9pm friday...

saying that I tryed to do a deal with him to get PSO but sadly he did not take me up on it lol.

I got a call from the manager of Game Station UK (manchester arndale branch)just as he got home before he said that if I go in with the money for PSO later on today that I can pick up the game...

however as you know PSO should not go on sale till friday but I get on well with him http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif at any rate an idea for some of my fellow EU players why not try and ask X.X.X.X store if you can give them the money for PSO and just take the disc and modem (if needed) and come back for the box later as that way they won't get into **** with HQ for selling it early you get the game they get the money everyone is a winner lol (well its worth a try what have ya got to lose ?)

only this lady from karstadt doesn't even seem to has ears - she still claims that she has spoken with a nintendo-person the day before yesterday and that the game will be delayed around half a year because they wanna place zelda before (if that would be true, nintendo of europe would be a bunch of big idiots).
i told her, that nintendo has nothing to do with the game, but infogrames, she wont listen and speaks of licence-stuff.
i mentioned that saturn, mediamarkt (two media discounter) and wal'mart have approved delivery - the woman at saturn even called infogrames and they said the delivery is on its way by now.

either way it's not possible to go online yet, as the HL-registration server is not available, thus leaving me unable to register my HL to get online since it give me a message that there is no HL registered with this serial number/access key (I've also posted this on tech talk forum).

Indeed I did go to Gamestation I have been going there for most of my Gaming life ^_^ and as a result spent more than I care to put down in this post so the manager gets on well with me if you know what I mean http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif so he let me take the game early. But as for the Modem/BBA both are priced at 29.99 GBP and the game 34.99/39.99 GBP (Depending on if you pre-order)

ok, i thought i would post here too. ok now, i live in Switzerland, in Zuerich.
Today, on my way home, i thought it wouldnt harm to walk in the games shop since its on my way anyway...
the shops called Softridge, and they usually are quite up to date, a good store all in all, but when i asked about PSO, the guy said sure, its going to be out tomorrow, then i asked about the BBA, and he had no idea, so he called his friend that works in Softridge near the main train station, he than said something about a delay, that it will be out on the fourteenth, due to some complications, and that they would sell it with PSO for about 170 sFr.- (which is about 115 euros or so, not the cheapest thing in my opinion)
i was totally confused and went to another shop, called Pc-Joy, also very reliable, and the guy also said it will be released around the fourteenth. He said that basically it is possible that the game will be released in europe on the seventh, but that it doesnt necessarily mean that it will be available in Switzerland on the seventh, meaning it affects the "main" european countries, like france, england, germany, spain etc...
i then decided to go to Jelmoli, some kind of a huge shopping center, and i knew that chances are they wont know much, since they are not specialised in games like the two other above mentioned shops, but the man said it should be out tomorrow.
...with a "what the...!" in my head i was looking for my friend who works in some kind of a toys shop, who also sells games, and he also had no clue!
now please, does anybody know about the release of PSO in switzerland? it was really quite a disappointment to hear all this stuff.
however, like rena-ko who lives in germany, we also have a mediamarkt here, maybe they will have it...?!
i however will post here again if i can get hold of PSO in switzerland.

Sorry I can not be of much help in that area Primrose but a word of advice why not order it from a europeain based website that way if it is indeed not comeing out till the 17th where you live you would get it well before the 17th if you orderd now anyway.

i just called 3 different pc-joy stores that are distributed somewhere in the area of zurich. they said that the game has been delayed and that the game will be released on the seventeenth, and one said the fourteenth. the given reason for the delay is some location problems in the german version, the guy on the phone said the game also has been delayed in germany, although i had rena-ko in mind who bought the game in mediamarkt, in germany.
rena-ko, is it the german pal version you have? i mean on the dreamcast version i remember all versions being identical, even the japanese version was playable in german, english, french and spanish. isnt that the case on the gamecube?
im somehow not really satisfied with that kind of reason...
i guess ill have to go to softridge and see if they have it, or maybe mediamarkt, but i cant get there without a car... although it would still be nice to know if it is available in switzerland.

okay, i went to two softridges and to jelmoli once again, and even called mediamarkt.
well now i have the choice between four different release dates: thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, and seventeenth. but definitely not the seventh.
im quite disappointed, thats for sure. its not like i wouldnt care, it came out of the blue. everywhere i read march seventh is the official release date of the PAL PSO, confirmed by infogrames, sonic team etc. and then this. but luckily, i guess it only affects switzerland, and from what LINX said, the scaninavian countries.
i guess no one really knows whats happening right here, the best given reason for the delay was the one i got from Mediamarkt, they supposedly have problems with the online functions...
but why not just hand in those games and deliver the BBAs and modems afterwards, when they are ready?
hm...
anyways, im still quite happy PSO made its way to europe, i hope you guys are enjoying it right now.
i guess ill see you guys somewhen online. im going to post here as soon as i have the game, for all those swiss players visiting pso-world...

...its been delayed here in aus... till the 14th... and thats if it doesnt get delayed anymore. the worst part is infogrames didnt bother to update their release list to reflect the delay till about mid afternoon yesterday(which is my friday). in fact when i checked the site in the morning, it said it was out!! so im really bitter now... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

Sorry to hear that Aceleonhart but I think the best course of action now would be to import one as I do have PSO but can not get online till my tuesday-wensday (UK) so I am forced to order a modem from a website site which is Gameplay.co.uk and it seems very reliable so you could just use this link to but the game http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?ProductCode=GC0291 which comes in at 34.99 GBP and either the modem/bba which is 31.99 GBP depending on which one you need all the products get shiped from the wearhouse within 24 hours!

Anyways just a little help hope to see ya online soon.

german version has german covertext and a german booklet...

but i dont see any onlineproblems - i went online yesterday (which means HL and register servers where up) - so its maybe a logistical problem... or... maybe the will have to make a tri-lingual version of the package for switzerland?

if you can effort it, i'd suggest you travel to the next german mediamarkt (or something like that) - since french version was delayed to 14th as well, wasnt it?

yes, thanks rena-ko, thats what i did, i went to mediamarkt in germany and bought PSO and the BBA. i hope that the BBA works.
the people that dont want to wait so long, can basically do the same as i did, if the games worth it for you, it was worth it for me.

In single player mode I have just got up to faceing Dark Falz (Level 20 HUmar) but I don't want to kick its ass till I go online and do it there 1st...so I hope to see you all sunday now ^_^
