View Full Version : My PSU Tribute

Hello everyone. As the servers closed, there’ve been a lot of tributes to PSU, and here I would like to share mine. I started to work on this project quite a while ago, back then, it started as something else. I rounded up a lot of different people (in total about 100 people are in the video, not counting the masses of the final day) to showcase PA skills. A couple of these were getting quite impatient with me finishing it, too. But I wanted everything about this video to be perfect. And you’ll see the love and care that went into it when you watch it.

I’ve said my goodbyes in the video, but in short, I’ll do it here too. I’ve always been the fighter type (hence the nature of the video), from pso through psu. And the moves make the game look that much more spectacular. I’ve had a good run these years, met a lot of fun people, and wouldn’t trade a single minute of it. As for if I’ll play another phantasy star game… we’ll see how sega handles it.

The video is about 23 minutes long, features 100 people, about 8 songs, and in total took me more then 7 months to finish. My previous videos were all to get a bit of experience for this one, and you will probably see similarities. That said, I’d urge you to watch till the end, as even I still get goose bumps from it.

I’d like to thank everyone who worked with me on this project. And a couple of people in particular: Dustina (or whatever other name he goes by), and the rest of the Belgian crew, Edward, for willing to come and showcase a PA as well (personally I think yours turned out awesome), my other closest friends on psu like zeru and Black-widow .

I hope you enjoy the show. If you’ve got half an hour, this isn’t a waste of your time ;). Also, you may need to watch it twice to get everything or get all the jokes in there. It’s best to watch it on an as high a quality as possible. Standard quality on youtube is pretty low, and you won’t be able to read all the text. High quality will do fine I think. It’s divided into three parts there though, due to the 10 minute thing. Also, for a direct download link, it’s about 450MB, but the quality is way better. Still not good enough but ah well, otherwise it’d be too high a filesize. A final warning, some epileptics may have problems, have a nurse with you at all times :P.

I loved all of it EXCEPT part 2, "tearjerker"

The openingw as great, PSU's martial arts combat seldom gets cred.
