There's no known way to keep from BSODing. I know back in the DC days, I had a brief 3 second black screen , which scared the hell out of me. >_<.
BSOD just sucks..but FSOD is worst.

Corruption is most commonly caused by the game being disturbed while saving. If a save doesn't finish, the game screams DUPE! and corrupts your file. This is why FSoD-X is what it is, it's an FSoD during save.
BSoD is usually caused by a poor connection or just alot of modem users get it in general.
I personally have never had either though..(BBA for me)

I've B/FSOD'ed a few times. Once I was trying to enter a block with over 100 people and I think my connection died midway into loading, so I FSOD'ed. Also, it happened a few times while in a game. I was nearly last to join, and I heard that has something to do with causing such things. I think VulpesMundi brought that up in another topic, though I'm not very sure, so don't hit me if I'm wrong. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

I remember those periods on thw DC version where you had to wait like 5 to 10 minutes just to get in a game. Then another few minutes to materialize on Pioneer 2. :/
