Question about NPC titles

Those titles you get by inviting a certain npc to your party 50 times, Does that mean you have to play a full quest, or complete a full field with them? Or just invite them and kick them out of your party 50 times?

yeah kinda annoying really but really easy to do and i think there is another title you can get while doing this something about giving the npc orders
