Down with "what is best" polls

These "what character is best polls" are stupid. There are no best characters.

People say certain characters are the best because that is all that they have played. They don't like the other characters because they either don't like the way the character looks or only played the character for a few mins and decided they hated it.

The only best character is what the player plays best as. So everyone has their own best player, which is usually their main character.

hehe so true my fave is the HUcast but I play a mean HUnewearl and RAmar/l also but ya those that say one class is better then the other are more likely expressing the faveritism(sp?) for that class

I disagree.

My FOrce is a FOnewearl, and yet, I rank FOnewearl dead last and say FOmarl is the best overall FOrce; even though I simply dispise her animations.

My RAnger is a RAmarl, but I've always said that RAcast is the best, and only give credit to RAmarl when it comes to solo play.

My primary character is a HUnewearl. But, as with RAmarl, I'll only say she's best at solo play. For the most part, I've always favored the coverboy, HUmar, and tend to recommend him the most.

You're putting conditions on this post that the author never intended. Saying one character isn't as good at playing solo, etc. The point is that generally speaking, there is no best character. There is no one character that absolutely dominates the others in every (or almost all) categories or circumstances.

I've seen HUmars go down for the count because of their limited Resta abilities. All characters have good & bad qualities.

I generally agree with Whatley.

No, I just give some thought into what the other posters in a topic said before I put up my own.

In this case, part of what WHATLEY is saying is that the polls are biased and filled with irrelevant comments.

I disagreed. I saw some valid arguments being made.

This isn't a science project, it's a message board. Not every post needs to be well thought out & directly on topic. If you're going to pick on me, then you should at least be consistent & point out the mistakes of the other people that post here.

Besides, he did say "There are no best characters" which is what I took from it. I am also tired of the 'best character' topics. I don't care how good of a point someone can make.

There is no best character...if there was a best character, no one would play PSO because Sega would have only made one character.

Well in main mode ST made a good job balancing the characters. The differences are slight and dependa lot on the stuff you have or with who you play.
