View Full Version : Who's the biggest Zelda fan?

For many of us Zelda was our first action RPG. Who knew the success and many sequels it would bring us in the future? How many have you played and/or actually completed? I have finished most of the main titles I think lol

Legend of Zelda: completed
Adventures of Link: completed
A Link to the Past: completed
Ocarina of Time & Master Quest: completed
Majora's Mask: FAILED lol I quit this one
Twilight Princess: completed

I know there's a ton more on various Gameboy systems I never played, and of course the Wind Waker I guess I'm not that much of a fan boy. Hey which Zelda would you reccomend for the DS?

Phantom Hour Glass *despised spirit tracks*

although to tell you the truth, I would recommend seasons/age over the DS games.

Hahaha.... I still have my Oracles or Age in my "game closet".
I'm definitely the biggest Zelda fan between all of my friends.

I played pretty much all of them.... Even the silly sidescroller fail game.

I played and beat Ocarana of Time about....50 times at least.
(Never did get that 100% though. I missed a heart piece on my last playthrough...)

Only one(s?) I didn't play were the GCN ones.
Never had one growing up, so I never had the chance.

Seent a friend play though, and it didn't look too good.

The first DS Zelda game was great, second one was bleh, but I still beat it.

Love Link to the Past (specially the GBA one with 4 swords!)

Never beat, but played a lot of the Wii one. A friend let me borrow it, and took it back before I could beat it because he wanted to trade it in for another game.

Alright Alex! You are the biggest Zelda fan hands down. All the Zelda games I have are the GCN ones. Twilight Princess on GC is the original and truest version (Link is left handed)... I know they made him right handed on the Wii for the Wiimote, but they had to make the whole game mirrored because of this. I have TLoZ collectors edition which has the first two NES games OoT and MM. I also have the one with OoT and the OoT Master Quest which is really great with re-mixed more difficult dungeons an excellent game for people who have ran the original more times than they can count! GC versions are the best imo

Also, yeah, Alex is pretty much the biggest Zelda fan in existance

The woman in Alex's life will offer up Gold cart Ocarina of Time, on that NINTENDO 64!!! as wedding dowels - no camel/mule/horse promised to marry into that family.

Link's Awakening

You really should. It's different in a lot of ways, but it's excellent.

Always loved the Zelda series. The only ones I haven't beaten out of the main series* are both NES games, the Oracle games, and Spirit Tracks. I'll have to rectify that sometime soon, as I've got all of them (but Spirit Tracks) just waiting around at home.

Anywho, I may not be able to top Alex in sheer content, but I think I deserve points for the following:

1.) I dressed up as Link for Halloween during my sophomore year of high school.

2.) I've got a gold cart Ocarina of Time signed by the man himself, Shigeru Miyamoto.

*(ignoring the CDi games and the multiplayer-only GBA Four Swords)

of course the Wind Waker I guess I'm not that much of a fan boy.

Wind Waker is an exceptionally good game. I know, I know, Link is very, very cartoon-y, but the dungeon puzzles are great, the gameplay is solid overall, and the end... Well, I wasn't expecting Toon-Link to do what he did.

Made for a good ending though, also when will we get more replayable bosses? That was one of my favorite features of Majora's Mask and Wind Waker.

I think windwaker is one of my all time favorites just because of the sheer content in it. I liked it better then twilight princess because it just felt better done. Anybody else feel the second half of twilight princess was rushed?

Definitely THE most kick-ass final boss kill of any zelda game. Plus, the death line is good too.

Yeah, as well the biggest and tallest Zeduda* Fan, probably has its own section of Guinness' books. Better put on height and weight every year. Standing on top of all your Zelda gear may not count.

* (did you know about that monster mash dance Japan region commercial before Shadowpawn posted it in OT, and how Japanz called it the "Zeduda" even before seeing that?)

Damn ravers.
Or SK8ers...

I think the only Zelda's I haven't played are the CDi ones and Spirit tracks :P

And out of those i haven't beaten Link's Adventure(cuz i personally think its terrible), Four Swords cuz i only rented it lol, and Link's Awakening because I can't beat the last boss lol :)

And Alex! You have no gold cart for your ocarina of time! :O My parents have a video somewhere of me and my brother getting it on Christmas morning and playing it all day <3 lol

I've played most every Zelda game. Great series, even if it is losing its touch.

I can't recommend Spirit Tracks to anyone. A thoroughly disappointing game.

However, Link's Awakening really shouldn't be over looked. Especially the DX version. I hate to say "Get a ROM", but outside of Amazoning, it's the last choice for most. I still have my DX cart, and it's one of my favorite games to date. It's got a secret dungeon that can only be played on the GBC. It uses colors to solve puzzles. So nifty.

Ages/Seasons were alright I guess. I didn't really care for Seasons very much.

Wind Waker was the shot in the arm I needed around the time it came out. Huge overworld, bright colorful everything, excellent music. Truly a work of art.

My favorite though; Majora's Mask. That game was my pride and joy. Got the holo- Gold N64 Cart, 100% complete. Fuck the cousin that lost it.
