I heard that with the update coming soon psu is going to be free. Is this true?

-IF- xbox360 gets Free Course like JP PSU does. I doubt it will be that soon though, it's relatively new to JP PSU, and you know how US updates are...

I highly doubt it will happen on the 360, microsoft will not allow free access online for any game (apart from promotions like free weekends ect).
If it does happen (thats a big if) then the only way I could possibly see it work for M$ is if they dont allow silver accounts access to psu anymore.

That really sucks. I know psu is a awsome game but why the 10 bucks? Oh well doesn't keep me from playing it.

Well the thing is in the free course your restricted a hell of a lot so it's almost like playing the demo but without the porn advertisements.

The only thing ur restricted from is ur room, trading and free rare missions.

U still have a common box though.

There is only a chance, and it's unconfirmed. If the free course option does became available, you'll be able to play PSU free, but you'll be limited and won't be able to experience everything.


Keep in mind, this isn't even confirmed yet. Nothing but speculation as of now for the 360.

I don't want to piss off a bunch of people and start mentioning this old thread (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164930) again, but seriously, if there's no news about it on any sites like here, (http://www.pso-world.com/) here, (http://phantasystaruniverse.com/index.php) here, (http://forums.sega.com/forumdisplay.php?f=237) here, (http://psupedia.info/) or on any other similar site, then don't expect a damn thing from Sega, especially when the updates they have in Japan usually take around a year to get over here. Trust me, it'll save you a lot of grief...

thats why ur suppose to join the JP server they actually care about the players.

Thats currently. Before FC restricted you to only capping at lvl 50 I believe (or 80?) and no access to certain lobbies, etc. No room access, no trading, yada yada. It was much harsher. Free course was basically just for people who want to chat.

Recently they updated FC in JP to give you a lot more to access. If 360 gets FC, they probably will start out with the beginning restrictions and probably take a year to get to the current set up.

I doubt 360 is going to get FC anyway, since they have Demo and MS loves money too much. MS loves money more than ST.

There are a couple more restrictions that I have found being on free course.

Cant run Innocent Girl
Only get 50 bronze coins instead of 1 Silver
Only get 1 Stamp instead of 5
Cant use the GAS feature
Cant do Rare Free Missions(got one waiting on my hunter)

Well, if I could read/speak moon runes, and had the money to pump into all the extra content, I would probably at least try it, but ehh... I've got other games to keep me busy nowadays. =/

Either that, or I could just join a free private server. :razz:

Whoever said about reading/talking moonspeak. I've been playing for a week and I know where everything is. I just recognize the symbols and star rating then I know what it is. Yeah some stuff I have to look it up on Amesani to see what it is. Also, I haven't PAID A DIME yet and I'm playing on the JP server(though I will be getting a sub). Pump money into extra content? Guess u mean Guardians Cash, well I haven't touched the Guardians Cash and I wont ever touch it.

and the Private Servers u speak of wont be up for months.
