Pleased to meet you all, I am Ben_Roprim.
You may already know me, as I play a lot on the Private Servers. I play everyday with my freind, Spellwinde doing a lot of leveling and Rare Hunting. But what my ultimate goal is this:
I have been a Fan of the PSO series since the first PSO came out for the Dreamcast. Now I have grown to like it even more since the game has reached peeked capabilities. My dream is to create a Windows Operating System that is set for the purpose of the PSO Player at mind. I have undergo a very small development into such a OS. I call it: PSOS Version 0.5 (PSOS = Phantasy Star Operating System)
This very small OS is built off of Windows Vista Premium 32-bit. What I have done, is take out all unnecessary junk from Vista, and uploaded Tools, guides, Calculators, and a Character Manager. What is unique is that I added the Rotation Tool called SliderDock, which I like to call the "Photon Ring", as a primary Utility for the OS. The OS also plays the "Lobby" themed music from the PSO game when you use the OS. And to lower the headaches, I made it to where it will stop playing when you Surf the web, and while using Applications. Or you can always turn it off yourself.
Other features of this includes a section in the Photon Ring, that has all the Music from all the PSO episodes, sound effect files not included until Ragol.co.uk is back up. More Features will be made and added. Also more tweaks here and there.
I know the background and Icons are taken from this site, it's a temporary Wallpaper until I commission a friend of mine to make a Animated Wallpaper and some Utility Icons for the PSOS 0.5 . Until then, this will just have to suffice for a little bit.
I am going to make this OS available to Download as a Secondary OS for any User's PC, so you can either run your Default OS, or run the PSOS 0.5 when you want to play Phantasy Star in a unique way. Also, the OS will come with all these features, and the "Private Server" Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst will be preset and ready to play without having to install it yourself.
When this OS will be complete, I have no idea. This could take months, maybe a year or two. Anyway, I hope you like the looks of it! I haven't made a Youtube video of a Demonstration, cause I don't know how to record a video, haha.
