psu is the same as always it'll be fun getting back into with the gbr on now and the supplemental update looming.this is one of the better times to join/restart actually.ppl on the 360 are a bit fickle but just do some runs and you'll probably run into some decent players.

I would like to say the same, but...eh...unfortunately, JP is not a paradise either. I know very few importers that are nice people, and other few that remain with the "I'm so elite" atittude because they can waste stupid quantities of GC to build cool equipment (my best friends and me use GC too, but we're not trash people like those).

Each side of the coin(360 US vs JP PC/PS2) has nice/bad players, so I cant say I'm sure there's a perfect place to play PSU without risking your sanity with idiots. I play JP because it was more accesible for me to play (I dont own a 360, and I dont plan to buy one for a single game), and because I wanted to try something more updated. That's just me, though. :/

Yes. If anything, its a good thing theres emergency updates. On the US servers they left a whole bunch of shit go on for too long (error 65, error 69 during events like MAG and Carnival).

OH and its not EVERY other week. Its either EVERY SINGLE WEEK or every other week. On the US servers I strongly remember not getting updates sometimes from 3 weeks to whole months, and thats just not acceptable.

And the JP servers still manages to give new content during events and GBRs. Plus they have longterm schedules, unlike the US version.

THE ONLY update the US seems to be pretty solid on getting is the supplemental. Thats it. No notice on Absolute Zero, Thanks Festa 3, Great Arms, etc.

If the NA/EU servers were still active I would have been PISSED at the announcement of Supplement comming in late June. Its like "we don't have the update yet but it is comming to you in a couple of months!". I seriously can't believe so many people were happy about the announcement. "Instead of giving you content we are giving you a GBR that is over 2 years old and will probably last for 5 weeks. :)"

I am sorry, but I'm am seriously skeptical of the "we are trying the best we can to get you new stuff!" attitude from SoA. It sure seems to woo over many paying customers. It's just not right. :(

It's not necessarily the fact that hardly any new content is being released on the NA/EU (they blew up the PC/PS2 servers) Xbox server but that they get away with stringing its players along with small promices of new content. I don't think the Xbox PSU players should be treated this way as paying customers. It's sad. :( I guess our love for the game keeps them going though.

I have friends IRL that play on the 360 servers or "played" for that matter. There are a ton of idiots on the 360 servers that scam in the lobbies boot people and say racist shit on the mic all the time. Not all players by any means but there are a lot. I have seen them... To compare those players with the very very few racist players on JP PSU is just silly. Unless of course those players are all of the sudden gone now.

I don't think you should pretend those problems don't exist. If someone is aking what the servers are like and their pros and cons that someone should know and people should be able to tell them their perspectives. In all fairness you brought up the way the idiot players act on the servers not me.

My firend was trying to do MAG runs and would be stopped for trade windows where the player would try and sell a Knuckles statue and would replace it with flowers. Its wiers because every time I saw him play someone was spamming the lobby trying to pull that scam.

I wouldn't play on 360 not for the reasons above but because I play MF and the lag from big techs would ruin it for me. I actually have been wanting to play on the JP server for a long time now but I never made the switch because of all the hard work that I put into my characters on the PC version. When the server was shutdown by SEGAC I was able to make the switch.

Some of their products are good. it's that particular controller that has problems though. I've never had button issue with the controller, it's the cord thats attached to it thats the problem. After 3 months or so, the controller would act like it got unplugged(u would hear the USB unplug) sound and then it would reconnect a couple seconds later. If i moved the controller cord a little bit, u would hear the sound.

I ended buy a regular PS2 controller(with USB adapter) and it had no problems for about 2 years. On my 2nd controller now and it still works perfectly.

I had the same problem (and the D-pad also broke afterwards... :()

Dude, maybe you don't keep score of console game DLCs that well.

PSU is the only RPG game that regulaly released content.

Two othes I've tried to move to: TooHuman an Sacred 2 promised even one DLC and delivered nothing.

Is SEGA perfect? Surely not - but getting mad for the announcement of bringing content to consoles is biting the hand that feeds you.

...and this is from a guy that has no particular love of GBR (you end up doing misssions that kinda suck - Caves of Ice, I'm looking at you here).

I quite PSU becasue my work was ramping up. And now I'm playing just a bit again, and despite huge inflation (I remember when 1,000,000 meseta was a LOT), the game still "works" and has a ton of new things to do.

I could be wrong, but I predict it being difficult to find players to team up with in PSP2, unless there's some kind of lobby system. You have a good chunk of players import it as well.
