Sure, I skimped out on the hair detail, the face is a little lumpy, and the shading isn't great - but I rarely draw in a more realistic style, so I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

that was a great thread and i took requests and delivered in a day or less. i took artistic license and it wasnt spose to be serious at all and they arnt real people. so i have no regrets .

I used to try and get in some drawing whenever I had a chance.

I even considered doing a minor in Art while in school. (That didn't pan out, though I did run the university paper's comic section for about a year.)

Nowadays I just don't have much time. The sketch I posted is from about two weeks ago. Aside from that and some other sketches I did that night, I haven't done anything since September/October of last year when I did a comic for some friends' wedding reminders.

Before that it was months since I had done anything.

I miss it. I'll find time to do it more regularly again.

But anyway, to stop rambling and actually answer one of your questions:

Fanworks is dead to me. (Not really, but I don't think I need to let them all know about my silly little sketch.)

I don't want to disappoint, but I have a distinct lack of both a scanner as well as any sort of image editing software on my current computer, so I don't know how soon I could contribute again. (But regardless, I should get myself regularly doodling in a sketchbook. I'll do my best.)

Outrider, there's free software for computers too.
I grew fond of Paint Tool SAI. It's a nice, program, and it's not Photoshop.
I love Photoshop, but my computer cant handle that anymore. :/

SAI does almost everything (other than effects/photo editing) just like photoshop.
