Is not required. A gunner can kill Howzer without too much trouble... I remember I did those runs with my WT and I got to kill him in less than 5 minutes just using a card. Sadly I didn't get any V/R after 50+ runs so I gave up.

Like Darki, I ran that run sooooo many times to no avail with my Newman Main before finally giving up. Anyways, I was running my Cast GM through the story mode in order to obtain the Edel Items. Not even considering the Vijeri / Resist as I killed Howzer, guess what drops?

Yeah that is much likely to happen. Anyways I don't really care that much about the unit, I hardly get megid'ed in runs, and well, I've already developed some kind of flying-damn-purple-ball-dodging abbility in those years playing, lol. I remember getting 10+ Illuminus tags, btw, but when I got rich selling them I preferred to get good equipement for my WT instead of only one unit.

Anyways, I guess the best way to kill Howzer is just doing it the easiest for you. I remember I started Majarra'ing him and then using Gravity Break, and I ended using cards because all I had to do was to keep the button down and dodge him from afar, I hardly even had to throw a Resta. Probably any gunner with a single-hand weapon or twin handguns (for the strafing) or the rifle for knocking him down is able to keep a higher DPS than any fighter, just because he teleports and moves all around and it's annoying to chase him. With the gun you just aim and shoot.

Id suggest to try with any class that uses cards, like WT/AT/AF/FT or GT (I'd reccommend WT if you want good HP and damage output and to have a Resta wand paired with the card, or AF for the highest damage). Then you don't need even to aim too much lol. The most boring part of the mission is not to kill the guy but to pass again and again and again those damn story chats.

MF is easy enough too. But honestly GM is better for Howser than FM. Rifle is better at keeping him on the ground than spiral dance is. Anyway, it's not too big of a difference no matter what class you use. About 3~4 minutes as a GM/FM. 4~5 minutes as an AT/MF/GT/WT/etc. It adds up over the course of 100+ runs, but the biggest time killer is the 5 minutes of unskippable cut scenes that you have to watch every time you do the mission.

I was able to do it in 3 min with WT, Howser`s dumb anyway he suck at fighting, hevy on the twin claws for the win a little on cards and debuffing him the weakling he is with very little resta since he did less than 400 dmg. also it helps with a suv that does over 26K in 4-5 secs lol could get two off those in the fight since he couldn`t hit me or was fly in the air hit the fence because bashing in he`s brains while mocking him, just think what we can do now with Sub Update and Gas lol and this is the best that seed can offer up hahaha death to MR. Strechypants lol:)

TD won't make the story scenes faster. It has been proven that even with a normal class like WT with a normal weapon like a card is you can beat the hell up of that guy in less than 5 minutes. The pain in the ass is the scenes.

yeah, keep working at it some ppl get lucky and get it in 1-5 tries but it can take over 1K in tries to get. don`t give up get even with howser beat the snot out of him. but yeah it took me 4 months before I got 1 burn two GBR`s to get it. lol
