hey. i just wanted to say hi, this is technically the 2nd phantasy star game ive played (psII being the other 1) but that hardly counts :p anyway i beat it in under 15 hours, decided i loved it, and started messin with hacks (AFTER i beat it, none were used before) and built myself from 30 to 90 in about 30 minutes using a X36 exp multiplier on top of a X16 (which gained me a level after almost every kill, turns out you can only gain a level at a time even if you get enough exp to lvl 2 times.) anyway, my point is, i was dissatisfied with the fact that i used that to gain an unfair advantage over people who cant do such things, so i made a new char who will remain untouched by any of my hacks. ill post my friend code on my sig as soon as im done with this mission. i will still use hacks on my humar, but ill be doing so in order to learn more about the games mechanics, and for my own entertainment, no net for him :\. i hope to make many new friends here and contribute to the communities understanding of the game by dissecting it with hacks ^^
if anyone has any requests btw, i would be happy to set up a test to find out whatever your curious about.

If you're into hacks, head over to GameFAQs. We've had 1 thread here recently about hacks and not many seemed into them. Keep them to yourself, offline.

Maybe under "Thread Tools", which is on the right, just above the first post. Been ages since I made my own thread.

Leveling takes a while. It's expected. If you go into the "Player Matchup" sub-forum, you may find people with characters closer to your level, who want to play a game with you. Just don't expect fast replies in there. I recommend posting your FC and character levels in that forum though and others will post their FC and will add you, while you do the same.

Actually, you can alter topic titles by hitting the Edit Post button under the first post and either hitting Edit Post again or selecting Advaced on the window that pops up. Then, above the message box where you'd put/edit the text of your message is a line with the topic's title in it, similar in comparison to the message box. Just edit the title like you would a regular post, submit, and PRESTO! New topic title. :P

actualy one hack you may be interested in is turning your character into ANY main character. i have a Reve char atm actually (who will not be on the net at any time unless you wana see it :P) might be worth mentioning i can have up to 15 save slots if i wanted :P
i can do ogi (both versions) , kai, sarisa. basically anyone who has ever fought on your side ^^

and no, i have never used cheats. ive looked at them, but i wasn't particularly interested. also i like to earn my items and levels, which is why my hacked accounts will stay off the internet.

You DO use cheats. You already said you do and different kinds that you use.

I am a recovering PSO fan. (getting back on) ^_^
I got Zero on an emulator... It works, just runs slow.
Kinda like it... The bad thing is: the combo is hard to time out due to fps, and if i want to click on another window, I can kiss my game goodbye. Freezes and I have to Force quit...
OH and I am using a HUmar. Just to see what game play is like. THEN I will switch to CAST. only cause they rock with Rifles...

I'm confused, first you said you used exp cheats, but then you said you didn't cheat. It's all good, I guess. Just confusing.

I'm not a fan of hackers, but hey, it doesn't seem like he's hacking that badly. And he says he keeps his characters that he hacks offline, so I don't see the problem. And the fact that he can cheat for more saves makes me think. Why didn't sega allow normal use of 15 save slots? That would have been great.

Oh I got a Dream Cast and a Saturn... But I wanted to try some games for the DS that you cant get in the US... PLUS my job kinda sucks for the moment.. hehehe.

Just about every emulator program (on Macs anyway) have built in Action Replay. Also, you can buy an AR to plug into the DS, which allows for cheating.

HOWEVER, AR is well known for doing un-reversable damage to games and using cheats online is greatly frowned upon, in the best communities. If you want to cheat, go to GameFAQs PS0 boards, not here.

O_o wow, that was unexpected. there is a difference between cheats and hacks are there not? and actually the char's i mentioned being able to use are really unlockables that ANY of you can get, i just skipped the unlock part. also i think i left out the fact that I'M not making these hacks, im just using them. and i meant what i said before, unless you want to see them, i will not use my hacked accounts. so stop getting so pissed about it because it has NO effect on your precious online gaming!

You can NOT play as Reve, Ori or any other character, unless you use cheats. They are NOT unlockable to play as, normally.

I see no difference between hacks and cheats. Both allow you to do things that the game can't do by default. I do not support either and will not knowingly play with someone who uses either. If you want to ruin your gaming experience, go ahead. Just don't do it with people online.

The only cheats I use are on non Online games. I dont like hackers and people like that either. HOWEVER what they do on their own time is entirely up to them. I cannot say what they can and cannot do. just so long as I am not involved...

I fail to see how any cheats other than creating items/et jumps and etc affect anyone non-cheaters :/

EDIT: IT also degrades the title of level 100.

"reeve" is how I pronounce it too :P


And for the record :

Cheating is whensome uses premade/preset codes of some sort to enhance their game in some way.

Hacking is where you MAKE the cheat code, or tamper with the game's memory/codes and totally **** it up.
