If you are being serious, they refer to classes. They are used as a reference for which classes can equip what.

HH=Human Hunter
NH=Newman Hunter
CH=Cast Hunter
HR=Human Ranger
CR=Cast Ranger
HF=Human Force
NF=Newman Force

"X" works like "A" except doesn't activate w/e is in your actions palette for "A"

"A" works like "X" except "A" is a part of the actions palete

Hold X while charging a PA/Tech and release the tech button to cancel without casting the attack.
Of course, rolling does the same, but whatever.
