So, I started a FOnewearl (first character) a few days ago. I am currently level 35, PSOBB and playing on a certain special server. My build is pretty much pure techy, building on high MST. Pinkal, mainly for the love of pink and the chair. (wands are nice)
I mainly use wands, just because I like that look, though any "stick" weapon works well for me.
Equipment:
Hold staff
Solid Frame (3 slots)
-General/Mind+
-General/Mind
-General/Mind
Plasma Barrier
Varuna
I plan on raising my MAG to be a pink Sato with final stats of 150 MST 50 def. Its growth has been slow because I needed a hunter to help me feed it.
My Current Stats:
HP:175
TP:525
ATP:103(73)
DFP:105(49)
MST:316(316) <-- I am sure my equipment is supposed to raise this
ATA:101(74)
EVP:340(226)
LCK:10(10)
EFR:0(0)
EIC:0(0)
ETH:33(0)
EDK:0(0)
ELT:10(0)
MAG current stats:
Level:13
Synchro:0%
IQ:39
DEF: 6
POW:0
DEX:0
MIND:7
I have been able to "break even" on my bank account so far. I mainly limit myself to using normal and basic techs, and heavy only on the most special of occasions. I have approximately 10k saved up atm. (Fluids and techs being my major expenses)
Techs:
Foie: 12
Zonde: 8
Barta: 7
Gifoie: 7
Gizonde: 5
GiBarta: 5
Rafoie: 4
Razonde: 3
Rabarta: 2
Grants: not obtained T.T
Megid: not obtained T.T
Resta: 8
Anti: 1
Reverser: obtained
Shifta: 5
Deband: 5
Jellen: 8
Zalure: 5
Ryuker: obtained
Generally, I run Forest hard alone, and do various other hard levels with other people. I spend about half my time alone and half with parties.
I use a ps3 controller to play PSOBB, mainly so that my hands don't get cramped.
So, now with the intro out of the way, I am wondering if I could obtain some tips to further advance my character. Actually, any tips would be nice. First thing that pops into your head ^.^
Omg too long ago but I think I remember a bit...lemme see...
If you wanna play the supporter you should:
1. Got a Mag with at least 140 - 150 MIND
2. the points left go into DEF so 50 - 60 DEF
3. Damn...materials...umm...you don't have to use every MIND Material you find since your mag will give you a good amount and you would be maxed with MST of w/e it was called before Lvl 200 which would be a waste so I would say you should use 100 MIND Materials and 50 DEF Materials (if you are maxed with the MST before Lvl 200 and already used the 150 Materials of the stats just balance your mags with less MIND and more DEF then...don't know it exactly anymore...I quit the game a few years ago.)
4. For the TECHs:
- tagging: Jellen / Zalure should be always there
- if some monsters wanna hit you, just Rabarta them.
- I don't have to mention Shifta / Deband / Resta and Anti.
- for some boss fights like the dragons, gizonde works very fine.
5. An Anti-Para unit should always be equipped or something comparable in PSO BB.
Ok, I hope I could help a bit. Since I'm an oldy at this game kinda, some points might be correctable but at least I tried.
Just to quote myself because there was a similar question thread here as well a time ago.
Maybe some of those "tips" will help you.
For the techs: Maybe you can ask a few ppl to look out for some techs so they maybe can collect a few you can't get atm.

I could also help you out with your mag and maybe help you get some higher techs if you want.

I think you shouldn't write such things, thx and besides I also wrote that there's already some kind of thread and yes, since it was a tip for help.
(and I don't know if you could rly imagine how old I am (if I was ment with this "kid") so just leave such things out of here, thx.)

Nothing bad was meant by the usage of "kid", used it as a term for someone that I did not know, not a young in age person.

I was also sort of wondering about how I should plan my character out. Being pure techy I would like to make sure my MST is maxed... but from their I am unsure... DFP would be second though, just for the survivability
Just with my MAG I know DFP will be maxed. I would be 250 points away from max MST... but I know units might be used for some of that.
I am looking at adapt and wondering how useful it would be. Right now the 25 TP cut looks nice alone, but I would really like to know what units I should be looking at x.x

Having high defense isn't always the best idea, yes you get hit less often but you don't get knocked down and sometimes being knocked down can be life saving, as when you get up you cannot be hit for a short amount of time.
[...] in my own FOney help thread XD
You also could look things up here (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177826) moeri, that's the thread WolfWells21 was speaking about.

No more monofluids in shops? ...thats what I was feeding my MAG (and used a few myself too)
<-- sad

Sometimes you just have to reset the shops, try going into the forest and back out, or maybe you just got too high of a level they start to disappear, which for mag feeders is a pain in the ass.

Roughly LV43 is when monofluids stop appearing in shops, so bear that in mind. As for FOnewearl tips, I'd say get the Wand series weapons (Fire Scepter:Agni, Storm Wand:Indra, and Ice Staff: Dagon) as priorities simply because on BB, if you're on the server I believe you're on, tech boosts there were amplified, so the Wands will be better for you than the Canes (though they boost their respective tech by 100%). The reason for this is because the Wands boost all techniques of their respecitve element, and you'll be finding yourself using more than Foie Zonde and Barta in quite a few scenarios, so more damage there will help. After those, you can focus on gathering the needed materials for Summit Moon, which would be a max-grinded Cane-series weapon (that's not rare), and a magic rock "Moola". For your frames, use frames that only have 3 or 4 slots, NEVER go down in slots unless you absolutely need the DFP increase, which is really only used against the Dragon and De Rol Lee of Episode 1, for other bosses, any attacks that are mostly going to strike you all do set damage. Make sure that you have /HP units on standby as well, you'll want the HP increase for these bosses. Your shield can take care of DFP/EVP boosts until you find one that raises technique power, and as for your MAG, just continue to gradually grow it as you play. By the time you get to Dark Falz on Hard, you should have four General/HP units (+80 HP, very useful) unless you plan on running with those of LV120+, so they can kill it in like 10 seconds :P Aaaaaaaaaand.. That's all I can think of at the moment. Hope you found this helpful, because it's how I'm playing my FOnewearl on GC, and so far I'm having no problems being in Ult at LV66 :P Even managed to kill Dal Ra Lie doing only 45 damage with Rafoie (to each segment it hit)

Tip for mag feeding:
Use the Phanasmal World 4 vending machines to buy Monofluids and Monomates after the regular store stops selling them.

Do what I do, spam techs, sell everything you don't need for fluids in shops, go into autopilot and play levels endlessly until you get bored. That's what I did. Ain't played for ages. As you can tell I ain't an expert but meh!

Yeah I actually forgot about those vending machines. They cost slightly more than what you'd find at the shops though, but if your character can get the MAG you want, then use it. If not... You're better off feeding the MAG on a character that can get the MAG you want. Level 1 of course, just transfer all your money to that character and find something to do while you wait for the time to pass.

Hiya,
All you need is Red Merge shield and Summit moon then you have 190% boosted normal techs causing well it varies on normal and hard 1800-2000+ damage per tech on ultimate around 1200-1500+ per attack it makes PSO easy, i've changed all my chars to forces since finding Red Merge, the private server changed its stats used toonly boost foie related techs now it boosts simple techs by 100%. its around 50pd in value or just hunt red amp on yellowboze Phantasmal World 3 (box room only) anything from 2 runs (i got lucky) to 40 runs (my friend wasn't so luck).
It's all you'll need, then stay in a doorway spam techs pick everything up, hunt rares get to level 1-80 in a day if you persevere. So far my chars level 138 in 62 hours less than half my main char's time which is well over 156 hours and level 136 using standard melee levelling etc.
i use Devil Technique, C Ability, V801 and Heavenly Defence. I use alot of DFP and EVP mats (check max stat guide if necessary) and the rest HP mats. I know people don't rate DFP or EVP much but I say they're the most useful stats, with level 30 Deband and level 30 jellen in time you can block every enemy melee attack on Ult. So why is DFP/EVP not considered good? lol
Buy level 28-29 techs for 1-3 pd depending on the seller. Why pay 5-40 on a level 30 when you just get a Devil Technique unit for like 4 pd and boost all your 28's and 29's to 30 and saving over a stack of PD if you're determined to get level 30 techs?
