I've kind of been powering through it, though. I'm at 108 stars as of the last time I played (maybe three days ago?)

I had gotten to the goal but died before the star broke out once before though. Rage all around.

There's a later challenge with Rock Mario where you have to keep jumping from platform to platform and bouncing off of elastic bands.

I died probably like 12 times on that, and one of them was right when I got to the star.
