OK, I am about to setup my stuff for PSO online for GC and I have some questions.

1. I have a External Cable modem that sits on the top of my CPU tower. Today I purchased Car5e Crossover Cable (RJ-45) and I have it hooked up from a hole in the modem called Ethernet out (which was unoccupied) and to my Gamecube. Will I be able to surf the internet and play PSO online at the same time?

2. My brother and I have our characters on the same memory card. Will we be able to play with both characters online (not at the same time)? What about when he creates his own new character on his memory card?

3. If I don't want to play the next month, do I have to tell Sega I don't want to play that month in a certain amount of days notice, or do I just not pay for the next month when the time comes?

4. As I said I have cable, so will there be many disconnects (I have read that people get disconnected and they dont have a router) the way I have it set up (no router)?

I think thats all of the questions I can think of. Thanks for answering these in advance. If I have anymore I will edit this post.

Okay, I'll try to answer these to the best of my knowledge, although it may be slightly wrong...

1. I have a External Cable modem that sits on the top of my CPU tower. Today I purchased Car5e Crossover Cable (RJ-45) and I have it hooked up from a hole in the modem called Ethernet out (which was unoccupied) and to my Gamecube. Not sure how this works exactly... so I can't touch this, sorry.

2. My brother and I have our characters on the same memory card. Will we be able to play with both characters online (not at the same time)? What about when he creates his own new character on his memory card?

You'll both be able to play your characters online if it's on the same memory card. Of course like you noted, you won't be able to play them online at the same time. When he creates his own character on his memory card he can still play. Just make sure to put the password and connection information on that card too.

3. If I don't want to play the next month, do I have to tell Sega I don't want to play that month in a certain amount of days notice, or do I just not pay for the next month when the time comes?

Yes. You have to alert Sega 7 days, if I recall right, before your Hunter Licenses gets renewed that you will not be playing that next month. You can do that online on their website, both activate and deactivate your account.

4. As I said I have cable, so will there be many disconnects (I have read that people get disconnected and they dont have a router) the way I have it set up (no router)?

Sorry, don't know about this either. Unfortunately I don't use BBA on my GC... I really should though, just have to run cable across my house.

Hope I was of some help at least.
