So, apparently the little girls watching the new Twilight movie had a little surprise when they got into the theater. They were so frightened, in fact, they've pulled the trailer from the movie. I can't really blame them. I'd be a horrified if I were a 10 year old girl and saw that trailer too... can't really blame them but still LOL.

I don't see why they were scared, the first paranormal activity sucked ass.
Not to go off topic, but Paranormal activity was based on real events....having alternate endings made that hard to believe.....but now there making a part 2....wtf?

I find that hard to believe considering that there's not such things as ghosts or demons.
Anyhow, I haven't seen the first one... and I probably won't bother with the sequel. Horror films in general just don't work on me the way they do other people I guess. I always end up laughing at the cheesy acting and ridiculous scenarios, which puts off everyone else who's being freaked out.

Its only scared them because of "shock" horror. Its the equivallant of a screamer video. 10 year olds shouldn't be involved in Tweenly Twlight nonsense habblehosh either anyway!

They shouldn't, but they are. A lot of people think children shouldn't get involved with Harry Potter due to certain aspects of magic and monsters, yet they are also.

Too each there own. I believe in ghosts, I just think PA wasn't scary. Could those events have happened in real life? Hell yeah. Would it be scary then? Hell yeah.

Funny how it's because they have crushes on Robert Patterson (Jesus, I actually know the names :/ ) and that kristen stuart. And no I didn't watch any of the Twilight's, I just here people saying those 2 names all the time.

The only thing scary about Paranormal Activity is the amount if idiots that paid to watch a Ghost Hunters ripoff.

Hiya,
I can safely say i'll never watch Twilight. Used to think vampires were cool when I was pre-teen. But I can't take such films seriously these days. Interview with the Vampire was alright but still a bit over the top and drawn out but it was more likeable as it wasn't over the top violence like most vamp films are. Hey i'm all for ultra-violenece but I prefer asian extreme cinema for that, not wesley snipes action like a testosterone fuelled action man.
But love, vampires and high school romance are probably the 3 most loathsome scenarios for a film in my opinion. Whenever any form of love scene or words occur in films I immediately hurl abuse at the screen or fast forward the mushy sentimental BS.
The Paranormal Activity film I found hit and miss, the main male actor was a Grade A eejit, no two ways about it. The atmosphere of the night time scenes was built up well but the ending was predictable. I'm still dubious about the idea of ghosts.
I've read the idea of electro-magnetic disrturbances etc and the way our bodies generate a current, the theory of traumatic events etc leaving some form of disturbance in an affected area could be plausible but I can't say i've ever seen anything paranormal, other than the popularity for this Twilight Saga, which I loathe with a passion. All this idealisation of love in films, TV and books does my head in. Stay single kids :argh:

nobody should be subjected to the awfulness that is twilight, to quote a friend (not verbatum cuz i dont remember entirely) "we're going to do something daring...we're going to find THE PLOT!!!!" he went to see new moon because he thought he could laugh at it, but then found out that it was so bad he couldn't.

.. In its defense, the cost was around $15,000, versus $190mil revenue. That's substantial profit, if anything. Horror films don't cost much to make, anyway.

Or turkey demons.... cause they showed a footprint of some farm animal.

I don't think there's anything to that idea, and even EM experiments in controlled conditions generate less than compelling evidence. There are methods of eliciting certain paranormal experiences using direct brain stimulation (OBE, Presences, visual/auditory hallucination, etc) - but they are generally limited to specific aspects of the experiences commonly reported. There is no known "trigger" for the full gamut of the haunting experience. But... experiences tend to vary, so I'd say there's likely a large spectrum of source phenomena occurring across a diverse sampling of people. The brain is prone to filling in missing data in sensory perception, which may compound the issue - especially in people who are highly suggestive. I've read that ball lightning may be a hallucination caused by EM fields produced by normal lightning strikes triggering seizures in the occipital lobe, but I don't know if that would even be applicable beyond that specific scenario.
Further, I don't know of any plausible mechanism (especially one bound by the electrochemical activity in the brain) which can "imprint" any specific pattern on the EM field without having to remain present and operational. So say, you have a highly traumatic experience, but you live through it. Is that imprint supposed to be there even after you've left the area, meaning some of these experiences are "ghosts of the living"?
Regardless, even were it substantiated, it still doesn't make the real connection that such a pattern would be a "Spirit" or substantiate any sort of afterlife claims to the afterlife. A footprint, after all, is not the residual "essence" of the foot residing in an area long after the traveler has passed... it's simply a disturbance in the sand.
Or turkey demons.... cause they showed a footprint of some farm animal.
Wat?

When the people were upstairs, it showed onscreen some weird footprint on the floor, it looked like some turkey demon or something.
Cause something made a weird noise too.
If I remember correctly, it was right(or close to) before the picture in the attic scene.

I was disappointed by the first Paranormal Activity because they put the only three creepy parts in all the previews. By the time I actually watched the film, it was like trudging through an extremely boring and not-that-well acted desert that was occasionally broken up by moderately freaky parts... which I'd already seen in the commercials.
Besides, since it was a movie, they really could've gone all-out with the events that supposedly happened to those two people. Instead it was a very non-inventive "yeah, there's a demon in our house and he broke one of our pictures" thing. I've seen way more elaborate, way scarier possession stories on A Haunting.
I did, however, really like the scenes where the camera fast-forwards for about two or three hours while watching the girl standing completely motionless beside the bed, watching the guy sleep. That was pretty spooky.
I thought Paranormal Activity was terrible and not scary. :/

Paranormal Activity: Scared me because I'm fearful of ghosts and demons. Thats my weakness. And if anything like that happened IRL I'd die from a heartattack.
Twilight: I must say, I saw the first film, and didn't think it was all that. After a couple viewings it grew on me. I intend to finish the series, even though I don't think its all that. Is it worth the hype? No.
I also find Edward and Bella's relationship to be completely shallow and silly. The b**** falls for the guy who seems as deep and different from everyone else just like her, because shes antisocial and rude to whoever else approaches her, and strives to be different from society despite her common, plain-jane, lack of bone structure, appearance?
What makes even less sense is the fact that the twat is dumb enough to give up EVERYTHING for this guy she barely met, and hardly spoke to (oh wait, sorry, they communicate by staring deeply into eachother's eyes). Plus everything seems like it takes in a week's time. What infuriates me the most is, she decides to not continue her education and do anything useful in life because she wants to be a vampire housewife. Talk about being a great role model for young women.

Nobody else picked up on this?
That's not a defense, but really pointing out how they "3 card monty'd" everyone, despite a first run who should have word of mouthed, as well as the reviews (if they weren't paid off for the on the DVD box later quotables) stated how it wasn't worth it, gimmicky - don't waste your time and money.
At least, reading about that nonsense 90's one, Blair Witch Project, they tried some on the cusp marketing with websites and backstory easter eggs longer than the actual non-movie. So it probably created some super fans-and then utterly destroyed their commitment to the product with the end result of up-the-nose-leakage camera stares.
Check the thread now, even being a poke of fun at the preview pull, any news is viral marketing news and thus, adding Twilight to the title as well, we got 200 views and plus after this.

In unrelated, besides being horror, news, I finally got that Jason X on DVD for like $2, bling.
Cryogenic unfreeze part looked remarkably similar to -just was on last weekend again, Cowboy Bebop Faye Valentine unfreeze story.
Horror "last girl" being unfrozen was also some sort of Asian-Caucasian.
GG, 'I see what you did there' scriptwriter(s). Animu~ fan apparently.
