I'm gonna head but a wall in a minuteok so, seriously.
On the 360 the left trigger of the controller highlights any instances such as if someone sends you mail or a party invite you would press the left trigger to highlight the icon and then hit a to read the mail, the right trigger brings up the public and party chat side window.
Is there anyway whatsoever to get these triggers to be detected as digital buttons instead of a dam z axis?

XBCD drivers will work, but they're a pain to get working as the site with many of the files is down a lot of the time. If that doesn't work, try Joy2Key.

This is why I use a PS2 controller layout style. It's MUCH easier controlling all of that with L2 and then X (for me at least).
