This thread is about glasses.

I've always been a fan of clear, crystal wine glasses. Not just wine glasses, but any clear glass (http://www.bombayharbor.com/productImage/0832318001195548880/Glass_Pressing_Cup.jpg).

Not these, though: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00TBWtDlOdHRcP/Glass-Cup-Machine-Pressed-Cup.jpg where it gets really messy at the bottom and it's not clear through-and-through anymore.
I just always liked to pour things into the transparent ones, because it's like you and the glass have no secrets. It's not hiding anything. It will show you exactly how much apple juice lies within it.

They're not fancy or anything, but pint glasses are just about the best glasses ever for water or soda (or beer or whatever, obviously.)

They're the perfect size and shape for somebody with monster hands like me.

(Plus, you can get the perfect ice to soda ratio by dropping in 3-4 regular sized ice cubes and then filling the rest of the glass with Coca-Cola. It's exactly right. It's wonderful. Still, this is a thread about glasses, not drinks.)

No no! Please feel free to contribute your ideas as to how to properly utilize these wonderful creations.

I never realized it until I heard it on an Alton Brown show, but the reason that cocktail glasses have stems is so that your hand doesn't warm up your drink.

So as cool as stem-free cocktail glasses look, they're actually detrimental to your enjoyment of the drink.

You know, I always wish these existed. They're glass, right? I can't really tell, but I think it would be wonderful to have a cup like that.

You're just jealous that you didn't get to drink out of a Tubby Custard cup. Which, I am too. Like, really jealous. What the hell, man.

A cereal bowl built as a coiled straw?

When filling a glass of water at the sink I always dump it the first time I fill it.
I do this because one time, a beetle fell out of the glass when I did.

But the beetle's the best part!
