Those were figurines, not cards. However, there were cards available with the Japanese version of the game, as well as with a number of peripherals. There were not, however, enough to make a complete and usable deck.

Though it would be cool if there was a new class in PSO2 which used cards to fight. Crusin' 'round the place with a deck of cards and some dice. Summon your self an army of rappys to fight. Then instead of finding cards form monster drops, you collect them from specialy marked packs chips.

Hell, they gotta put those super space card fight machines sans motorcycels in there somewhere. its all canon now baby. don't think you can just sweep episode III under the rug.
