View Full Version : HUCast or RACast

I'm wondering if a HUCast and be a good substitute for a RACast, as in a HUCast using ranged weapons. While HUCast cant use the higher level weapons, his higher ATP gives him a little more power with the highest weapon he could use.
I did the math, and I'd post it if it wasnt so messy. But comparing the two in all ranged weapon class the HUCast was on weaker with the bazooka. But his accuracy is less.
So would the RACast make up for its lesser power with its higher accuracy combined with a pure power mag? Or does the HUCast have enough accuracy not to need a hit Mag, where he could make a power mag and be stronger. ((if you get what I'm saying)) :-?

Generally saying, the HUcast can outdamage the RAcast with most of the weapons available to each on their own, however, I still feel he isn't a solid replacement for a Ranger, as then you wouldn't be able to use all the awesome high-end Ranger-only stuff like Tartaros Cannon, the Yasminkovs, and perhaps Canon Bleu. Damage can't outshine the available array of ranged weaponry to the RAcast compared to the HUcast, I say. :P

You Missed Out On The ATA. Do You Want To Hit More? Or Do More Damage?

Well I looked into the ATA, generally RACast gets about 100 points more ATA, but I'm wondering if the HUCast's ATA is enough to hit 95% of the time

Well Tale It From Me. Dont Even Touch The HUcast's ATP. I'd Give Him A ATA Mag. His ATA Could Use A Bit Of Working.

You shouldn't need to make an ATA mag for a HUcast, his ATA is pretty good. Just get a solid weapon with a little bit of ACC ADJ and you should be set.

A HUcast will do more damage. You can make up the ACC and still be more powerful.

The lowest ATP Hunter still has more ATP than the highest ATP Ranger (RAcast), so it should be fairly obvious a HUcast, who has the most will be able to outdamage a RAcast using any of the same or even remotely similar weapon that the RAcast can. The fact that the HUcast has access to Lavateinn, Blackhawk, M25SE Missouri, and Frigiand, all of which being top-tier weapons of their type, doesn't help the RAcast's case all too much... : /
And yes, the HUcast has ALMOST enough ATA to make using these weapons with full ATP builds almost feasible in SH, but not quite, due to guns not always being the best in ATA (but being pretty good, for the most part), but they don't need a whole lot to hit even remotely well in SH. Maybe about a 75/25 ATP/ATA mag might work, or maybe 50/50 could be better, if you can't find any good ACC ADJ version of those weapons.

The only advantage the RAcast has is that he can hold 5 more Fire Traps....whoopee.

Here is an old thread I started as a joke but that got many serious responses:

It really depends on whether you prefer seeing big numbers or using lots of different guns. With the right gear and better player skill, a RAcast could do as much damage as a HUcast (Yeah, to damage stuff, you not only need the ATP, but you also need to be correctly placed and read through the easy mob patterns appropiatedly. Shocking, isn't it?). And, my final answer to your question is this:
RAcassy. RAcast looks...bleh, and HUcast looks like he wanted to join HUcassy's guild of Cat-loving Casts, so no for him too. Did I also mention that RAcassy has the highest Cuteness stat? So, follow my advice and use RAcassy.

RAcaseal is the best ranger evar. Good mix of strength, best accuracy, and the cuteness to boot, she's my single favorite character to use online. :D
