Episode I is more concentrated with monsters, and thus is better for EXP. Alot of people are only concerned with this, so they play Episode I.

Ep II I love it looks awesome especially Jungle

Ep 2 is well...boring....not really too many new enemies...levels that are mazes and take FOREVER to get through, just not what we all hoped for...Ep 1 is way better and original...everyone practically memorized the maps for the level and know the strengths and weaknesses of the monsters/bosses...

if I were online I'd play Ep 2 games with ya' (as long as the games aren't in the temple, lol...I hate that place). I really love playing the three areas before CCA and Seabeds are pretty cool, too (tho I haven't gone through much of them 'cos I haven't had time to play much since I unlocked it). I especially like Ep 2 when I get sick of Ep 1 (I get in kicks where I only want to play Ep 2, lol). Ah well...:-/

Visually I love Ep2 but dammit when you start running through it solo it pisses me off. The damn gibbons then the Sinows. In ultimate HP is off the heezy. Takes me a while to do a good run without dying.

To me, Ep 2 is more like eye candy. I only really enjoy playing through Space Ship and Seaside.

Well for one, I think Delsabers in the spaceship tend to scare people off. Other reasons, the experience is definetly a high factor. Also, the levels seem generally too long and dull, just a huge laberynth that never seems to end and if you just want to go on quickly for a casual game, they can run a bit long.

"Why isn't Ep II Popular?", you ask? I have the answer... Temple. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_hamster.gif

Not only does it have a very frustrating design, but the design of the level really isn't great for the monsters they packed in there. Not only are you being bombarded by a bunch of the stronger enemies, you're ALSO being spit at by lilies, which of course are of the "Ob" variety in Ultimate. Ohh, how I hate Temple.

However, I really enjoy the other levels.

Another factor may be that there are no rare monsters in any of the new EP2 levels (Gal Da Val levels and Seabed)... That's a big dissapointment to me, since I spend a lot of time hunting for rare monsters on EP1.
And EP1 tends to give more rare items, period.

Oh well, I still dig EP2, even if I spend about a tenth of my playtime there.

I think Temple-Olga runs are more fun than Forest-Falz myself.

I think what turns people away from ep II is its greater difficulty level.

I think Ep II is far better then ep I out of opinion, just in that I think the levels are much more free and open and the level layout is very cool and makes you want to keep playing.

Most of the people who own this owned a DC version, and I think people just dont like change http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Wel there ARE actually Blue and Yellow Meriacols. I've seen both. But I don't think they drop anything rare...so you have a point http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif But I actually like Episode 2 more simply based on the fact that I've been playing Episode one for YEARS. So it's somethin new. I still play Episode 1, but I'd prefer 2. And like mentioned before, I thin k difficulty is also another factor, but ah well. To each his own.

I never really platedd episode II too much uni I was in Ultimate and not strong enough to beat Falz. Maybe I made a very big mistake by doing this. I was over lv 100 and I was layig the temple. I knew that there would be a heinus amount of lillies spitting Megid at me so I strapped on 4 resist Devil's and off I went. I did find a Mil Lilly(Dropped me a victor axe):( stupid peice of crap!! The only problem I ever had was beating the Gol Gryphon. I couldn't figure out why I was dying in one hit. Then someone told me to stay way from it. LOOL I guess I'm a retard. Maybe i shouldn't have been fighting it @ lv. 107 either....

I would have no clue why. I think that episodeII is very awesome, and a lot of fun. Plus, I think that Olga is MUCH cooler than Falz any day. I just cant stop praising how well Olga was designed, and how much better and harder he is than Falz, (IMHO) Olga is just the coolest boss!

The challenge of Episode II is what I yearn for. I played Dreamcast forever and I know Forest through Falz all to well. It's just not that much of a challenge anymore finding your way through areas which you already know. Getting lost sometimes brings a thrill of anticipation to me.

I personally do not care for EP2 because it is a money blackhole for an android or a force the item drop rate seems to be a lot lower so by the time i have to go back to buy fluids or mates i haven't picked up enough to sell to found my fluid or mate addiction and i have to dip in to my funds in my bank more often then i care to in one night i burned 130000 mesta doing EP2 that is just to much for my likeing

I dont get a chance to play a lot of ep II simply because there arent a lot of ep II games online. I dont like starting an open game...my IDs arent the best, and sometimes people get aggitated cuz of it. Over all though i like ep II better than I, once ya get past VR anyways. Sometimes i think people are afraid of the unfamiliar lol. *sips http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/coffee.gif*

ep2 isnt as good for leveling or as full of treasure as ep1. the first two levels that provide the least exp are long and boring, while the later levels are to short and monsters are to scarce to level verry effectively. strugling in seabed just doesnt pay off as well as a walk threw ruins and people are turned off by the level of skill it takes to play ep2. i know how you feel though, i enjoy ep2 way more than ep1 and finding a game can be tough

Ah, Ep.II I must agree isn't as favoured as Ep.I and I guess I see the reason why. However, I personally like Ep.II more. I can find pretty nice items, I like the visuals, the new enemies can being annoying in ult *Cough* Ul Gibbons *Cough*, but only when you're against Gibbles, the bad Monkey Boy himself...
I do love the Spaceship, the CCA, AND the Seabed. The seabed though, is too hard for my characters, especially online. I haven't even been to the CCA with my Redria yet.... I am scared of getting my butt stomped in by Gal Gryphon with my HU.

Episode II is the best at just endless walking!

EpII requires the maximum amount of team work for any player in there. This is what I think draws people away from it. You never see EpII games in Vega hardly cause those people there kinda are self centered.

In the EpII games, I've been in thus far, the players are more concentrated with keeping 'EACH Other' alive and killing certain enemies in a group, such as the Sinow's, and the pain in the ass Del Bitters. Than say, in EpI...where you can pretty much beat it by yourself.

EpII is not boring, but it is too long for each stage. Seabed is abit repetitive with those bugs, and Del Bitters would scare anyone off. But I LOVE EpII, I always look for unlocked EpII games, I only care for EpI if it's to help low levels with Falz, or my friends don't feel like EpII.

The bosses are so hard to beat especially Olga. And this is just the change that I needed, after being on the DC for so long.

Ryo, you know if you ever want an EpII game and I'm on, drag me in lol.

I myself do like EPII, gives out a fresh of breath air. But man it truley is difficult. Last time I went there was with a friend of mine in Vhard. We got owned in Seabed. And I was level 83! >_<

Whoever said that Ep2 was a money pit hit it on the nose. I took my level 32 Fomarl on a hard run with a level 64 Humar and the drop rate was so ridiculously low that I was going up alone to restock on fluids and finding that I only had like 3 items to sell. The Ep1 run we had just finished was much better. We were both going up to sell all the junk we had accumulated before I was running out of fluids. Also, less drops = less rares. We found 7 red boxes in the Ep1 run. And 0 in the Ep2 run http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif.

But aren't those only in Maximum Attack 2? You can also fight the rare Rappies in the temple, and the Hildebears, and the Lillies....but there really aren't any different rare enemies then there are in Episode 1 (Unless you count the Holiday Rappies).
