And straight into Pennsylvania. I can honestly say I'm ecstatic and nervous at the same time. I'm startin to get fed up living here due to high taxes and next to no job opportunities. Everywhere I go to look for a job the people seem to be full of themselves. I just had an interview over at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and during an interview with the director I spoke up to say something when I thought she was done talking (I generally give people a 30 seconds after they're finished talking to make sure they have nothing else to say) only to have her roll her eyes and yell "EXCUSE ME! But I don't like it when people cut in while I'm speaking! I'm STILL talking here!". At that point three options popped into my head:
A) Apologize and don't say anything.
B.) State: "I'm sorry I thought you were done talking."
C.) Say "Well, many apologies. I thought you were done talking. I would appreciate it if you didn't roll your eyes at me and get all angry. What is it you do again? Director? Well Ms.Director I have never felt so less of a person in an interview. Seems this "Foundation" has a bit of an ego trip. Good job on the 9-1-1 thing. I'll be taking my leave seeing as I have no hope of gettin this job. Also grow a chest flatty LAWLZ!"
Apparently reason came in and I went with route A. The rest of the interviews were pretty one sided and I was too nervous to talk. Also I liked how they added more requirements that were not the job list. Apparently a secretary is supposed to know Audio/Visual setup and Editing. Good one. F*%^tarts. I stormed out of there red faced and ready to go on some sorta vigilante rampage. Not only that it further pushed my hatred for anything "Business-like" (mainly because at my crummy job at the coffee shop I deal with alot of people from Merril Lynch and some other company who's name escapes me).
So yea, I've grown tired of this typical "New Jersey" attitude. There are a few people I know here who are awesome but I hate to leave em. Oh and before anyone says anything even New Jerseyians believe that the start has more a-holes than any where else.
