I seriously am confused here

I was just playing a normal S-Rank offline game right.
Then out of no where when I killed this monster I got a 14Star Drop
After that I kept getting dropped until I killed the 15th monster after the drop.
Is this a sort of glitch because I am sure the Rare Drop couldn't be that buffed.

The only thing that was bad about this is that all the weapon and clothing rendered useless and were once tools that I once had.

That probably the reason maybe because I was playing in a hacked room and once we started playing I realized that the game was hacked.

You were either unbelievably, exponentially lucky to a point where the chance falls around 1 against a number with several thousand zeroes, or you played in a hacked room once and it permanently effed up your drop rate percent

Unless you have a backup of your save before that time, it would be to say, that you are stuck with that screwing your game.

ay, yes. I create a backup save before every online session. I know it may seem a little obsessive but there are too many permanent fuck-ups people love to do to other players. It's always good to be able to restore your data.

Are 14-star drops that rare? I see people on youtube doing S-runs and they walk past boxes with S-rank weapons all the time...

Were all those drops you were getting like shiny red/rainbow boxes or just regular orange ones?

So if a hacked room screwed with your save files, does that accure ONLY with that one characater? Or all your characters affected? Probably cause all 8 characters are saved into 1 file on the memory card? Just want to be cautious since I alternate characters & maynot notice one character being messed up and one isn't.

I am pretty sure that just BEING in a hacked room can't affect your game once you leave said room and go offline. I looked into the available cheats for this game and there are pretty much two ways to alter drop rates:

1. To increase the % of Sayo's blessing (the one boosting drop rates)
2. To make it so that enemies drop ONLY weapons/PA disks/consumables

Option 1 wouldn't work offline, since the blessing will wear off and you'll have your own blessing applied. Option 2 would be VERY noticeable if it still worked, and it wouldn't activate randomly in the middle of a mission.

Perhaps. However, Gintoki-kun should consider himself hacked only if this problem is continuous. From what I read it started happening in the middle of an offline mission. And is it still happening?

The drop percentage hack can be restored to normal. CWCHEAT users have different codes that can increase the drop rates of weapons, disk and restore them to normal.

As far as I know the hack is not permanent. They only last for 1 mission, like Sayo's blessing.

Well as I said it stopped happening after the 15th kill after the 1st drop before the mission was over,after grinding on Maximum Cross 4 like 20 times it didn't happen once and I went over to play some hard story and did like 4 missions and it didn't happen again.

As d19xx said the hack was not permanent so it was mostly like a glitch in the database of the game.

Ah, I had assumed it was continuous. Then you were either incredibly lucky, temporarily effed, or you got some kind of glitch. Either way, if yer all good now, then we're good, right?
