what are the free player differences/restrictions?

been playing on the japanese server for about a week and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if these are actually true or are me and my friend clueless. also would appreciate any other information that i haven't stumbled on to yet.

the ones i've discovered/told so far are;
can't trade (friend told me)
can't sell to other players (assumption)
100 storage capacity at any NPC that you can sell too
once you pick something up and drop it, its bound to you (my friend tried to drop me money/gun when i first joined but i couldn't loot it)
no room (what my friend told me)
can gain bonus missions but can't actually do them (this is very annoying)
can't synthesize so all materials are useless (this is what my friend told me)
can't upgrade weapons (since the item that upgrades them are created from synthesize?)
you get 1 daily stamp a day (unsure what to do with these or where to redeem them)
you get 50 bronze coins a day

the one i'm most concerned with is all mats being useless because i checked some sites and it mentions something of an item exchange but it makes it even more difficult for me because i have no idea what i'm actually picking up.

as a rule i've just been storing any 7 star (red) mats along with picking up greens (not sure what they are) but i think i'm going to feed the boards to offering box for that outfit

p.s. sorry if come off as a complete newbie but well..i am. only played psu on my psp.

ok about this most of what u got there is true.

1) you can't take any items that are drop by other people but your own drops.
2) since you don't have room access you can't sell stuff to others or use the trade window.
3) you have cbox and chars to store stuff.
4) items are abound to the id number so if they drop it you can't pick it up...
5) as above fc can't use room.
6) true u can't use any your's or others.
7) true aswell but there are many items use for trades that don't need to be synth.
8 ) you can upgrade but only have 2 options:
a) get grinders +7 from missions like passport or gc missions think there are others
b) pay gc grind up to 8
9) true on that.
10) true on that.

As for what to save and what to sell; hmm most of the good stuff for fc are gems and biomats for the items trades.

As to what is what; best thing is to use this few links to compare and make out what u have. (if you can type kanji, katakana without any trouble the last one is really helpful) That last link shows you the name in JP and english so it's a good reference.

options are:
buy
sell
common box menu
gift wrap (think it's this but fc can't use that function)
exit

In the common box menu you have: withdraw item, deposit item, organize inventory.
