Alex's Lego Creations

This started earlier this year. I decided to make old school game sprites and make them out of Legos. Sadly, after the first few things I made, I ran out of Legos in those particular colors and was unable to make more. Thankfully, for Christmas, I got a lot more, and have been productive. I don't have enough of certain colors, but it more than I have had. And I have made a habit of making the sprite, taking a picture, then taking the sprite apart, so as to save on Legos.

Here are the first things I made:

Samus Aran's Helmet (Metroid) - This one, I didn't have enough depth of color to make it match exactly, but I got it to look pretty damn close.

Simon Belmont (Castlevania) - I ran out of 1x1 and 1x2 red blocks JUST before I got to his face, so I used orange to replace it.

Excitebike (Excitebike) - You have NOOOOOO idea how hard this one was to build. It was so structurally unsound, that I had to use Brown as a sort of background/support.

Since my birthday was this past week, we got me a present: a Lego Star Wars set. I got Home One set (middle of the below pic). Figured I'd take a pic of all my lego sets I have made.

Aww yeah! More lego versions of old-school sprites ftw! I commend you on your work!

One of my major problems is tht I have basic colors and very few tones with those colors.
Black
White
Blue
Green
Yellow-Green
Yellow
Orange
Red
Brown

So the sprites I can do is limited. If I can get more tones, I can work on more characters and possibly SNES and Genesis sprites.
