Can someone tell me what is up with everything? I keep reading about people finding xyz in 'the mines' and 'i was only a level 16'... eh? How do you get there if u are only a level 16? Ok, i am willing to concede that this is an online game after all, but i can only play it offline. I have a lvl 20 force, i finished the caves but the boss was so tough it killed me before i really had time to understand. I suppose that i need to gain experience online before heading back huh? otherwise could someone suggest what level u should be for each c. type to take on each boss in (normal) offline mode? i can see myself playing alot of offline sameolds, getting pretty bored, but perservering. If it takes me to 120 hours before i can make any impact then i am gonna be a little bored no?

Also, there is so much about thieves. Please be basic with us newbies:
all thefts occur when your character is down and dead? if this is the case then just don't die would seem to be the way not to be burgled. as for duping, if someone offered me a +huge whatever, i'd probably bot have the ATA, ATP or MST to be able to use it, so it would be pretty useless... and even if i sold it, i already have pretty much all the best that money can buy in the local corner store anyway.

Mind you, i wouldn't mind a cheat just to get me past the caves boss... maybe its that of i spend 100 hours getting my HP to a reasonable level.

P.s., i have high moral standards so when MsFortune does finally get online u can all trust me.

Well, if a person knows the boss patterns well, I can easily believe that a person could make it to the mines or the ruins offline with a lv. 16 char.

The reason you have it tough is because starting out a force is more difficult than starting another class out, due to the low HP.

And as for thefts, there are two kinds. One is when they rob your corpse. (So don't use your best weapon around someone who hasn't earned your trust) The other is screwing you over while trading. (Always get someone's guild card before trading. That way, if they screw you, you can track them down.)

And you don't have the best the store can offer yet. As you advance in level, the stores start selling better and better stuff.

thanks dude, esp. about the shops selling better stuff as my level increases, but my point still stands:

if i am low level, and someone gives me loads of cash, theres not alot to spend it on.

The levels can very depending on how well you know how to play each boss

Dragon 5-10
Worm 15-20
Vol 15-20
Falz 25-30 (scape dolls if minimum)

The caves boss really isn't hard if you know how it attacks, and how to keep from getting hit.

When he shoots out the bombs, destroy the center and a corner, then chill in the corner until the remaining 3 bombs explode, then dodge as many of his photon charges as possable...easy if you weave back and forth. When he grabs onto the raft, do a 2 to 3 hit combo (2 if your using the hard attack) then move to dodge his tenticle. When he shoots the bombs that surround you, if your force, use GiFioe while attacking to help damage the ones your not hitting at the time. When the lights go out, run to a corner and wait for all the rocks to fall, I don't know if thier is anyway to hit him while he's spitting his photon ray at you when the lights are off, so just move around to dodge the stream of lazerfire. When the lights go back on, just repeat everything until he's dead.

As for the theft part... it becomes hard to "not die" when your surrounded, or your at the levels when enemies don't smack you hard enough to knock you on your feet... but enough to knock 1/4th life down and keep you on your toes (Damn Sinow Beats!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_mad.gif)

ok, so i'm guessing that online with 3 others the old door trick off dodging out the room doesn't work too well? otherwise u'd be hard pressed to be surrounded.

( i can't believe i am spending so much time here when i should be at home playing PSO! when i got it on thursday i played nonstop 12 hours with no lunch or dinner!!)

I made it to the mines at level 17. I have a HUnewearl and I was scared when I took on the boss. I had had trouble with him online a few days before, so I didn't really know the patterns. I had to use a ton of spells to bring my health back up because those purple balls and those spikes kept killing me. It was frightening, and it took me close to 20 min.

What sucked it a few min before the boss I accidently wasted my Photon Blast. Then while I was fighting him it got back up, and I wasted it again. ARGHH.. That is why it took me so long to beat him.

Now I am lvl 28 and I am surprisingly strong. I love this new character! She is so much better than my RAmar.
