Rares are very much overrated.

F rares. Every player in PSO has one of all kinds, so what's the point? Everyone pretty much has 3 to 4 Guilty Lights, Devils Tail mags, and crap you can't even get with your ID. What a joke really. I'll just follow my old friend Alexanders example and stick to stuff I find. And keep my trusty Bravace handy when I need it.

Oh and this goes to those who DONT find their own stuff. Not anyone that legitematly finds good rares. It makes me sick that I enter a game and a level 28 player is doing 3x times more damage than I am, with some buffed up Stag Cutlery with a Soniti mag 150 POW.

All you're doing is killing the replay value of the game for yourself. But oh well I guess.

DB SABER! Charge-type weapons 0wn. Okay, sure, this one is a TP stealer, but you can squeeze in at least a dozen shots before the need to use a Trifluid. And if you have percentage, then now's your chance to scream "Oh yeah, suckers!" and kill a Dimenian in a single shot.

VARISTA! I am known as the Varista Guy, so I know what I'm talking about here. You find these things more often than sabers. Thus, more chances to find a Varista with sweet percentages. I keep one for each area. Besides, it's great when you want to get blown up as few times as possible by those Belras.

VJAYA! This is the uber non-uber-rare. Evah. Charge ability, only costs 200 bucks per monster hit, and very, very neglected. Too bad, because just getting a percentage up to 15 or 20 makes this weapon an ass kicker. Two swings and one more army of Dimenians goes to the grave. That's yer weapon for producing ghosts at industrial speed.

CRUSH BULLET! Fire once, get five suckers. Special once, heal yourself by as much as 1/4th your total HP. With this thingie, you're almost invincible.

But keep the uber-rares you find anyways. I have to admit that the red-pink color shifting on a Last Survivor is teh l337.

Well Shilloquit (forgive me if i mispelled yourname)I tottally understand your point. I hate when i take one of my low lvl characters in to a normal game me being lvl 15 and the other being lvl 6 the lvl 6 was doing 2x as much damage as me. all because she had a dreamcast pow mag. I hate when people take short cuts like that and blaze through the game. It make you look like the dumb one with all of the regulr stuff. But in retrospect. There are some rares that i seek, not because of their power value, but because of how cool they look. like the DB's Saber for instance, it looks so sleek and cool no other saber ive seen so far in this game has a little pike blade under the main blade as the DB saber does. Bravaces are awsome too. They look like James Bonds PP7 almost, with the silencer lol even though thats a bacic hand gun my 117 character uses that to take out all aireal foes. He also uses the partisan of lightning. So what if the DoubleCannon is 10x stronger than that. Im not trying to be an army of one with the most powerfull items in the game . i really could care less who had the most powerfull stuff. If you want to be the most strongest player in this game play on ultimate and beat faltz or olga by your self. dont join other peoples games and date rape all of the exp from everyone else with all of your flashsy gear. I play this game because i enjoy it. It may not be an "RPG" but it had rpg elements in it and i dont cheat or take shortcuts in rpgs. This game is mainly focused on teamwork. And your not being a team player by by being a showoff.

Yes, that's because they are only concentrated on showing off the wep, rather than concentrating on thier HP meter. Then the time it takes to pull out each rare that they pull out. Another thing that annoys me.

Being a Skyly, I get good stuff in the shops, like Masters Series weapons with good %'s always. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif And General/Battles and Powers++. Better than nothing. It's alright to find a rare wep here and there, but most of them are only good for Eye candy purposes.

I can get my ass killed by Falz trying to use a freaking rare that looks super awesome by drops my atp by like 140 points. The fact many people miss about 'rares'

As for lo levels. I can understand those that just got corrupted to rush through the levels....but those just starting out....with DC and freaking Genesis Mags, is just rediculous.

And The DARK FLOW SUCKS WHY PEOPLE KEEP ASKING FOR THAT!?

I love my rares, but that's because my HUcast used a Gigush for a while, and It brought me so much pain, seeing cool weps and having a 2 star wep. I do hate peple that carry 10 weps and switch between them every 5 seconds. I mean carring 2 weps? That's cool. 10 weps? Thats's annoying! I also hate playing normal with my FO, and seeing those HUmars and HUcasts with Devil's Tails or system mags, that have Twin Sabers or Lavis Cannons or whatever! I'm about 80% legit, but seeing those HUmars with DC mags and Double Cannons amd they say "They ain't dupes" makes me mad. Heh!

And I have a total of four rares and none of them are uber rare (I don't think Photon Claws are uber rare 'cos I don't hear about those being duped all the time). I don't really care, though because I'm happy with the weapons that I use (I love my Havoc Mechguns +45% against Native!...got those from "Soul of the Blacksmith"). If I find a rare weapon that does a pretty good job of killing things and it's percentages are good, I'll use it, but I'm more concerned with performance over looks (hahahah...I'm echoing my least favorite quest of the game too http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif).

That;s why I say Rares are overrated. And I've pissed alot of people off in lobbies with this statement. And I don't care, because IT is true. Those mags aren't impressive infact I find them very appauling.

But it isn't mine or anyones place to tell a person who should not use what they want to use - but hey. I just feel you should find your own stuff, to keep the reply value for yourself high.

Ok Silhouette, I completely agree with the fact that people should find there own stuff but watch out who you target this.

Guilty Light isn't very rare, Davil's Tail only required killing to St. Rappies during the christmas event, and many people run characters that have different IDs so having items not findable by your id doesn't mean you did'nt find them yourself.

Stag Cutlerys are also extremely common and a Soniti mag doesn't even require a mag cell to create.

I'm glad you decided to go completely legitemate, but try not to jump to conclusions about people.

Ok, I KNOW 80% of ALL users in 'this' game didn't fine their own stuff. Period. It pissed me the hell off to know end. Uhm, YES you DO need a Mag Cell to make Soniti. Where do you get this from? I've had the Cell before you know. Even the Cell that transforms a Mag into Churel.

Sorry, I was thinking Sato. But really during the holiday events, mag cells weren't that hard to come by. In any case, I do agree with you, its extremely irritating seeing how you have to search for hours and other people just run to Vega and beg for dupes.

you can get a davil tail just by putting a devil wing on another devil wing. i onl carry one rare at a time. 1 b/c its tiering to go through all the other items 2. its poitless to carry more than one item at a time unless needed to for example when you are fighting the fina form of falz hunters need a gun in order to ht that fast moving fool. unless you get lucky and he lands right near you.

heh so true, people that carry 4-9 rare weapons with them everywhere they go is insane i chant to myself "they're just asking for a BSOD" infact i had to stop carrying my two weapons well i stoped because BSOD hit my door for the first time in GC and robbed me of everything except my prized mag and a inferno bazooka which i just found on my first run of Ult Forest. i wish there was a feture that enabled you to equip two weapons. because i like to have a melee and a gun with me at the same. the weirdest thing i've seen is. a person switch between J-sword-Sange-Yasha-Sange & Yasha- i went insane trying not to leave...
