Anyone afraid of being lag switched when doing a high value trade? Here's my list of the best ways to avoid being scammed. (NSP=no-scam percentage)
#1. Don't Trade, you can't get lag switched if you never trade(100% NSP)

#2. Purchase/Trade through shops only, I haven't heard of anyone ever getting scammed through a player shop(99.9% NSP)

#3. This is a new method I tried during my last trade:
(Only applies if trade consists of trader 1 trading items and money for 1 item, Ex. 75 mil and 2 Agito repcas for a 8/8 spread needle)
Have trader 1 trading most items above 99mil(in cash) stand buy others shop robot and offer trader 2 a trade. Trader 2 puts X item in shop and locks room. Trader one asks friend to search item to confirm that item is in shop. Trader 2 runs to other side of room so he can't change price or blist player 1. Trader 2 accepts the trade and
Trader 1 hands over their items and any gold bars necessary. Trader one is then open to purchase the item for whatever price. (98% NSP)
#4. Have both sides use mic, have both players make noises in their mic for 15+ seconds before and during the confirm process, wait and then finalize. (90% NSP)

#5. Have a friend on each side mediate the trade. Not my favorite technique. (60% NSP)

Thanks for reading, any comments or better suggestions for my list please reply.

Why is #4, which is the recommended way, only 90% NSP. Also #6. Use a GM or person both sides trust to accept the items, cash, gbs and distribute them to each party. (99.9% NSP)

How exactly do you calculate the "NSP" percentage for each situation? Algebraic equations? Algorithms? I'm curious.

NSP = (Absolute - Percent)/(Percent) x 100% Complete Bullshit.

NSP = (Absolute - Percent)/(Percent) x 100% Complete Bullshit.

I figured it was something like that.

Yah I had a GM come in and mediate a trade once, I just didn't put it on the list cause it's extremely difficult to access a GM
