Read that and then post which one of those are you. Hm, reading about all those quitters sucks. PSO is the only one that doesn't let you get away with disconnecting. Well, it does but it'll show in your record. This was easily avoided in v2 because you could mod your stats, but not yet in GC. Not many people would battle someone with W:3 D:14. The part about stealing weapons is funny, I was only jacked once in v1 when I got peekayed.

I'd like to consider myself "none of the above".
I'm not a sore loser, actually I'm not a loser at all. It's far better to make friends than to make enemies. I remember when I used to play starcraft, people would run around untill you found them, that was nuts.

I was NOLed soo many times in v.2, I just cheated to make a bunch of lvl 165 chars. and pretended I cared when it happened to me.
Good times.

Another XG'er, nice to see you. I typically kept to myself when playing PSO online. I'd meet up with a few friends and be in a password protected game the entire time I was on.

Depends on the game.
MMORPG's in general I tend to help people who need it and hammer the annoying n00bs.
FPS games and sims like the Mechwarrior series I am a total asshole that keeps blowing your head off in 1 shot while taunting you just to piss you off more. But that's all part of my combat strategy of making my enemies mad since angry people fight stupidly and make many more mistakes for me to capitalize on. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

"will do anything to piss you off just because they can. "
how true..
somehow you forgot the moron who types stupid phrases, misuses word select and fills the screen with giant speech bubbles just to piss off others...
i met the infamous german noler and pk'er Ryudo yesterday... without his devices he had on dreamcast he is nothing but an idiotic little child that just wants to be acknowledged by others... a very sad person...

Yeah, I kind of tend to be the same way too. MMORPGs have leeway for charity and kindness. FPS games have no such leeway! If an opponent is fighting me in a FPS game like DoD or CS, he can expect no mercy...unless I want to humiliate him by knifing him.
For that matter, RTS games like Warcraft III also have no leeway for charity/mercy. The idea is to crush your opponent like a little bug, using any means necessary as long as it doesn't involve cheating.
Example...the infamous tower rush. What you do is tech straight to your towers (which are buildings that fire on enemies, like sentry posts) then run to the enemy base with your workers. Build a handful of towers at a safe distance from the base, then start building towards the base, leapfrogging your way closer into enemy territory.
This is a cheap tactic if done right, and extremely irritating because it can happen so fast. Many RTS gamers swear off tower rushing because "it's not cricket", but many others use it because it is so effective.
I am of the latter group.

WTF? You noob. Don't you remember those morons that would win(most by using cheat codes), and then keep continuing until you disconnected? Well, it's not quite "getting away" with disconnection, but, STFU.

Heh funny is people on StarCraft and BroodWars on bnet never figured out how to counter my Protoss Photon Cannon Rush. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif Game over in 5 min tops.

durring the loading screen ive usualy already sterieotyped and judged every player in the game. most of the time im wrong but after being a hard ass about dupes the player is using i can make them hate me the way i thought they would. that makes me right, that keeps me happy.
