Well, I have all the old PS Game on Emulators. I want to play some of the more recent ones but sadly Affordability isn't in my future.

Well, if it's anything. The portables are, by far, the cheapest way to get into new Phantasy Stars. Actually, the latest main Phantasy Star is on the PSP, though Phantasy Star Zero (on the Nintendo DS) (which came before the current iterations) plays a lot more like Phantasy Star Online did. Both have online internet play as well.
I'm only saying that because of recent events made certain revisions of the DS and the PSP drop through the floor, so you may be able to get the game and the machine to play it on, real cheap.
