Spring Special Week
* From April 14 through April 25, White Beast will be the focus of this event.
* For the duration of the event, this mission will feature boosted EXP and PA EXP.

Seasonal events
* From April 14 through April 25, spring lobbies will be up in Clyez and Ohtoku Cities.

Mission updates
* White Beast C-S2 will be updated and difficulty S3 will be added.
* Chronicle Setup HQ 2nd will be updated and modified to be a permanent mission. Though you will not be able to earn more points from the event, you can still spend any remaining ones you have here.

GM event rewards
* Eligible participants of the White Day GM event "Speak Your Mind! Sending Simple Mail" will receive a BOYS Bouquet (saber) via common box.

Item updates
* New items will be added, including Alterakazchi Gun (machinegun) and Feather Hand (dagger).
* New items will be added to Legacy of the Light C-S and Photon Crystal Exchange, including Big Fisher (whip) and Catastrophe (slicer).
* The following items will be temporarily removed from the inventory of Photon Crystal Exchange:

- Yasminkov 3000
- Rumbling May
- T-Yasminkov 2000H
- Queen Viera
- Squad 7 Uniform M

Something to note is that the day this special week ends is not on a Thursday, but a Monday. Guess they're planning on a special maintenance or something to start rolling out parts of update 3rd.

New fields
* New fields to be added include a space colony (Clad 6), the beach, a seabed plant (subspace labs), the seabed RELICS, a castle (Ohtori Castle), a snowy mountain (Mt. El-Bars), a jungle (Crodog Jungle) and the Crowley (from Infinity).

New PAs and SUV weapons
* Many new photon arts and SUV weapons will be added.
* Images show Blade Destruction, Sazonde and Dus Skadd.
* New SUVs shown include Big Impact, Flame Panzer and Air Ride Cluster (or possibly the higher grade versions of those).

New items
* Some of the new weapons which will be added include Axion (saber), Steel Hearts (sword), Diopside (wand), Biwa-hoshi (rod), Double Strong Cannon (twin handgun) and red Scorpio (laser cannon).
* Some of the new clothes and parts to be added include Angel Perfume (female clothes), Punishment Jacket (male clothes), Kamui-fubi (male clothes), Bil De Bones (male clothes), Boa Bowar (female clothes), Justice Armor (male parts) and Eternal Form (female parts).

Miscellaneous additions
* Monster interference with player movements will be improved. (Hopefully no more spazzing out and getting stuck in Svaltus legs!)
* Many new missions will be added!
* Humans and newmans will be getting...! (Mirage blast hint!)
* Plenty of other additions are planned, so stay tuned!

Well still not everything I've been hoping for though. Still no new monsters and new level cap announced. Especially that last one, I mean everyone is pretty much capped now. Doubt you'll keep those players that much longer interested when there are no levels to gain, only things to experience.

I have to say that it's going to change my mind about playing this on the xbox. Yea I had a xbox but was NOT INTERESTED in paying twice (you have to buy gold plus then pay in to another subscription to get it...) to be ignored/dumped on like everyone else over here. So I never bought it. Was crushed when ps2 ended moved on to portables blah blah

But.
With inf areas (I imported inf anyway...) and all this new stuff looking like ACTUAL content that's worth paying for, I might have to get in on this.

I've heard a couple other people on this post saying similar things. But do any of you current/long time Xbox users think it's a good idea? Is it too late and you won't have a good time if you're just starting a fresh guy now? Is the community really hateful or closed up? The portables are closed as hell due to rampant hax and no ability to talk quickly. You basically MUST have pre-arranged parties with friends on them to have any sort of fun.

Certainly this is a huge incentive and looks to be quite worth spending the money & time on. If it's any indicator of the future, it is also super exciting. I would love console psu again.

This update is only for the Japanese PC servers, the XBox servers won't be getting this for another year or so, since those are quite a bit more than 1 year behind.

PSO2 wasn't a factor when everyone was shitting their pants over the Supplemental Update. Since SEGA is more inclined to work on their newer game when its released, the 360 servers will fizzle out.

Looks like 360 is going to be an event only thing for me from now on. JP has officially gotten my full attention. My JP character is almost at 100 so I'm not really that far behind my 360 character, plus I'm better equipped there. I'll have to resub to JP when this hits just so I can enjoy it fully. It's really too bad 360 can't just grab everything JP has and throw it all in at once. Honestly if we just shortened our events to last half as long we could actually start catching up. I can deal with a 2-3 month gap. A 2 year gap is inexcusable.

You DONT have to pay for xbox live to play psu on the xbox 360 all you need to play is a silver account which is free so all you have to pay for is psu sub fee and the game on disc or digital download ,ambition of illuminus is free to download now aswell.

It doesn't matter whether Xbox server is gonna last 2 or 5 years to get this or that contents, nor will PSO2 go global and support local languages outside of JP or not, or will it be ported over to next gen consoles in future or not, b/c world will end in 2012.

O hey, I can be 100% certain that pc/ps2 eng server will never get this and others unless you take time machine with the contents back to before the server shutdown.

I was wondering, any chance of the raising the learnable PA cap from 36? With new pa's coming out this would be nice. it will get even more tedious having to shuffle pa's in and out with more coming out. Isn't the learnable number like over 100 on portable?

In the past, they have said that the 36 PA limit was due to the way the client was hardcoded. However, the client is also hardcoded for Humans and Newmans to have their blast gauge permanently set to 0%, and they are changing that, so there is a possibility they may be able to remove the PA limit.

I see a Newman and I see her doing a "SUV" animation. last time I checked, the only thing that gives that animation are SUVs and Mirage Blasts, so for me it's pretty clear.

I would love to see newb easts and shields, but I'm sure that won't hit us. :(

^This. PSP2 is a vile port of the PSU engine, so stuff on the psp version was tested before in the PSU engine...The only relevant thing that is unique on PSP2 are the character models.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by that, but ok. As far as I know my TA times are basically equal to JP TA times when they had 3rd year festa. We have everything they had other than the Motav Prophecy. As for my TA times I can can list them if you would like.

lol I still have it. It is not all that great (I only played for like a month and a half to 2 months at most and did not play often) and I only had a MF so being able to play as FM on Delta's account will be something new.

Who knows I may pop back on my old account sooner or later.

Apparently, due to the delicious amount of fail my mother's internet connection is, (Hughes Net) I can't finish this download for the update. And its been this way consistently through the week. Its one thing to be slow, but another to reset every damn moment it gets. Boo.

is this the satellite internet hughes net?

if u have a laptop, u can install JP PSU on there, find a wirless signal and download the updates there. U then take the Sega folder and transfer over to your PC.

The boosted EXP from White Beast seems to be exactly an additional 50% more. Does anyone know what the current boosted PA exp rate for White Beast is?

Can't wait for the 25th to come! I imagine the new photon arts can be obtained by trading in Photon Art fragments. I sure hope GC isn't needed to get them.... :dead:. I'd be sorely dissapointed.

They will most likely be AMP PA, low chance of them being frag PAs but who knows they wont be GC for sure.

There's another option but u need someone you can really trust that plays the game. If you have someone then ask them to upload small files of the DATA folder to something like MU or any page like that. But it's gonna take some time since it's a 5.15 GB folder.

use divide sign, in numeric keypad, then you no need change keyboard to english only to put slash :-P

(I just found out by accident that you can type the slash / on the keyboard then press the spacebar repeatedly to cycle through different options (one of the options being the correct "/.") Once the desired slash is highlighted, press RIGHT arrow key to enter the slash in.)

On JP server I haven't checked price anymore, but on US servers I remember that I bought mine like 3~5mil, not sure how it cost right now on JP (got mine in first months of gameplay on server)

Part of the reason why I LOVE playing Phantasy Star Portable 2 is the ability to customize what weapons your character can use - for ex., if you're a Hunter and you want to use Rods, you can - it just takes a heckuva lot of Extend Points to use the S-ranks. MY question is will this feature be added as part of this big update?
