Like the title says, does anyone remember about how many solid white stars were on the PC/PS2 version at the time Sega announced the server would be shut down?

From my last screens of the final hours: 2 stars. (http://www.pso-world.com/gallery/data/500/psu20100331_223157_007.png)

From my last screens of the final hours: 2 stars. (http://www.pso-world.com/gallery/data/500/psu20100331_223157_007.png)This is a little skewed, as a lot more people were there for the end of the server than had routinely played in the months leading up to the shutdown.

We also know the exact ranges for each star/half-star on the PC server as of the time of shutdown, if you're curious about that. Two full stars is somewhere between 202 and 268 players.

When SEGA announced the shutdown...my guess is that it barely reached 1 full star during peak times.

This is a fair estimate.

This translates to 68-134 people. I'd say an average of around 100 at peak is probably right.

I went ahead and corrected those values for you. These are the correct values as applied to the PC server at the time of its closure. Other servers have different values, and the values can be changed.

Go ahead and quote some GM's post all you want, this is 100% true reality. It is a true fact from packet logging.

GMs don't lie.The word of a PR representative is more reliable than actual data. Yes, obviously.

Let's put it this way. Maybe whoever said that was correct at the time he said it, but those numbers were not correct for the server at the time of shutdown, which is what is being discussed herein.

Also, you don't have to be lying to be incorrect. You'd do well to familiarize yourself with the nuances of those words.
