I've been backing up my Gamecube saves using an Action Replay, SD Gecko, and a USB Gecko.

I use the Action Replay to boot the SDLoad code to access the Gecko OS on the SD Gecko (SD card). From there, I use the USB Gecko to connect the Gamecube to my PC and copy the saves.

Does anyone else do this or have an alternative method that they use?

It's easy if you have a Wii with homebrew
and I guess, cheaper than a GC Action Replay these days though you already have one.

I still play PSO on an actual GameCube so things are a bit harder. Also, I have all my saves on 1019 cards, and I've heard rumors that Wiis like to eat those so...

Oddly enough, I went through 2 action replays because some are only compatible with certain versions of the console (with 480P port, without 480P port). That was easily a couple hundred dollars there.
