http://psupedia.info/Joining_the_Japanese_Server

also use google translate. What I did is highlight the whole page and paste it into google translate, makes things a bit easier.

Free Course limitations:
- No access to the room, that means no Partner Machine, no synthesis, no player shops and no titles (free course players can still use the common box storage though, which are accessible through NPC shops).
- No trading or catching drops from other players.
- Can't access premium course specific universes (for now I think they're only uni 7 and 8, but once they add the other universes back, it'll probably change back to universes 9 to 16).
- Can't do the extra story missions (like Innocent Girl) and story subplots.
- Can't do rare missions.
- Can't use the advanced customization options (GAS (http://psupedia.info/GAS)).
- Free course players may only receive 1 Daily Stamp instead of 5.
- Free course players may only receive 50 bronze per day at the casino, instead of 1 silver + 50 bronze.
