What is the orange HP and LVL Bar?

Sometimes I notice that a member's HP and LVL bar is orange instead of the usual gray. What's that all about? It'll stick around for a little bit and then go back to normal.

When you auto-follow a party member the color of their status bar will change to let you know who you would be following once you press the auto-run button. Sometimes you can hit this on accident.

Word. I auto-follow pretty often, so I guess this would make sense. Here I thought it would be something cool.
