PSO Dreamcast questions

I never owned the DC versions. and If I played them it was a looooong time ago. So I don't remember what specific features they offered.

I've been wanting to know if the Dream Cast versions had an offline mode in them.
And I doubt they had 4 play mode.

Just wanting to find out. Been building my DC collection. and as a fan I want to get them. even better if they're playable without online support.

Both the retail DC versions have offline mode. Offline multiplayer was something that was added for the later versions.

It slips my mind at the moment, but the version 1 trial may be online only. That's hard to get a hold of though and was only available in Japan.

I still got it on Dreamcast right here... haven´t played it in forever.
By the way: There´s a little site called Wikipedia that offer all kinds of info, even on PSO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantasy_Star_Online) ;)
